Al die bands zijn inderdaad technisch, en volgens mij is het voornamelijk de productie die ze op een bepaalde manier over laat komen. Zo zijn bijvoorbeeld Meshuggah en Biomechanical intense as fuck, en vind ik Obscura en Arsis af en toe zelfs een beetje saai. The faceless is een verkapte metalcore band, zoals meerdere zogenaamde technische deathmetal neigt naar polyritmische metalcore zonder gaye vocalen. En de productie van die laatste Faceless is echt onzettend tam. Allemaal goede technical death metalbands, helaas klinken ze allemaal zo droog dat het brute eruit gaat en mijn interesse snel gaat vliegen. Zijn er technical death metalbands/-albums met een betere (lees: interessantere en minder saaie) productie?
