Suddenly, I kinda realized my mistake. I took Yaoyotl seriously. And I'm saying that because this band CAN'T be serious. Maybe he's just doing this for (as the 4chan obsessed kids would say) "teh lulz". As a joke band, it would be really good, but as a "serious" project... well, it's just bad. But it was only the first song. So, why not trying with another one? "Yaoyotl Icuic" was the next one. It just made me realize that, aside from the hilarious mid-range vocals, the Dani Filth-esque high pitched and the horribly tuned guitar, the drumming was also bad. But that wasn't all. Even the production was bad. The cymbals are way too high in the mix, drowning the guitar frequently. The bass is not existant at all (I never saw that coming...). This is pretty much the epitome of bedroom "black metal". You thought that Apocalypse and that kind of infamous bands were bad? You obviously haven't listened this. That's everything I can say about this. Seriously, don't ever think on listening or (you must be fucking crazy) BUYING this, because it's not worth it. Maybe (and I really emphasize MAYBE) if you like "shitty bedroom black metal" (yes, I'm copying that term from another reviewer) you might find some pleasure upon listening this. If not, well, I think it's not necessary to add anything else. Lol. ... Ik houd niet zo van metal door mijn grindcore. |
