Joyless is the misanthropic pop band (influenced by The Velvet Underground, The Stooges, The Doors, etc.) that gave room for experimentation to the members of Forgotten Woods. After 4 years the Joyless ones will return with a new album, better than ever, this time adding instruments like banjo and harmonica.
"Shadow Spree" is rambunctious and cheerful without loosing the bleak, melancholy drained atmosphere we're used to.
This split, among other ones, serves as a teaser of what is to come.

"Dekadent Aesthetix is a metal band from Romania formed by Emi-on all instruments and Cosmin Viciu-vocals in the winter of 2008. Having deep roots in Black Metal, the band constantly incorporates diverse and contradictory musical elements to achieve eccentric sounds that are not supposed to have a special appeal to any music scene. The music production is totaly minimalist, absolutely independent, and extremely low budget. There is no support from others involved in the production. All the music, concept, sound, production is done exclusively by the band."
This is the first release of Dekadent Aesthetix, only having recorded a demo album in 2008.
"Track 0" is mostly acoustic guitar-driven while "Shiny Morning" is more metal based. These songs should also give a hint of what the mentioned unreleased/upcoming album will sound like.

Printed on full colour reverseboard cover with matte finish. Includes a full colour double-sided insert page and a Joyless sticker (100mm x 75mm (= 3.93" x 2.95")) made of PVC. The sticker has the band logo printed in gold metallic speckled ink on a black background.

Is dat trouwens geen Duits label, wat op de een of andere manier weer iets te maken heeft met No Colours?

Heeft Problem Child Records eigenlijk nog wel eens iets anders uitgebracht dan die LP (re-(?))release van dat Joylessalbum?

Stoni is van Duitse afkomst en het webdomein en bankrekeningnr. zijn zelfs nog Duits maar hij is lang geleden verhuist naar Noorwegen dus vandaar het Noorse thuisadres. De enige link met No Colours waar ik van weet is dat hij vroeger Steffen kende.
Maar belangrijker: PCR zal de nieuwe Joyless full-length uitbrengen op LP!

Hangt vooral af van de band.. Een aantal tracks zijn al klaar maar anderen hebben nog vocals nodig voor ze gemastered kunnen worden. Het artwork is al zo goed als klaar. 2010 zal waarschijnlijk lukken maar met zekerheid kan ik het niet zeggen. Ik neem er sowieso genoeg van in stock als het zo ver is.
