Luisterrend naar Total Satan denk ik: Het is toch jammer dat deze band uitelkaar is gevallen, niet veel bands die zulke stupide lyrics overtuigend kunnen brengen

Blijft toch steeds vet die muziek!!! En een nummer als de "Speed Of Darkness" blijft mooi bij de tijd met die reclames van een autoverzekeringsmaatschappij.

Former Members Of THE CROWN Reunite In New Project

Four former members of the now-defunct Swedish death/thrash act THE CROWN have reunited in a brand new project which is currently working on its debut album. Magnus Olsfelt (bass), Marko Tervonen (guitar), Marcus Sunesson (lead guitar) and Janne Saarenpää (drums) have joined forces with an as-yet-undisclosed singer and are recording a collection of tunes which are being described as "pure death/thrash metal." No further information is currently available.

THE CROWN split up more than four years ago due to "too many tours gone bad due to not at all professional tour arrangements," according to a March 2004 statement released by Saarenpää. He added, "Coming home from tours with empty pockets, equipment falling apart and having a pile of bills on the doorstep is simply 'horns down'. Paying the bills with tour memories and floorscores is just not possible. We do love standing on stage but we don't know much about the business part, and that's a bad combination."

Eigenlijk hebben ze (naar mijn smaak) maar 1 goed album uitgebracht. En dat was Hell is here. Maar dat album doet zijn naam dan ook eer aan want het raast als een gek. Metal met een hoofdletter M. Daarna begonnen ze ineens een beetje van die rock 'n roll dingetjes in hun muziek te stoppen net als Entombed op hun latere cd's. Dat haalde de vaart uit de muziek. Erg jammer.

The Crown is zo een band dat nooit een zwakke release heeft uitgebracht en tevens kon aantonen dat melodieuze muziek ook enorm agressief kan zijn, cft. Hell Is Here!!!

DOBERMANN, the band formed by four former members of the Swedish death/thrash act THE CROWN, has officially changed its name to THE CROWN and has released audio samples of two brand new songs, both of which can be streamed below.

THE CROWN 2009 is:

* Jonas Stålhammar (GOD MACABRE, MACABRE END, ABHOTH) - Vocals
* Marko Tervonen - Rhythm Guitar
* Marcus Sunesson - Lead Guitar
* Magnus Olsfelt - Bass
* Janne Saarenpää - Drums

DOBERMANN earlier in the year parted with vocalist Andreas "Whiplasher Bernadotte" Bergh of the Swedish industrial goth metal band DEATHSTARS and was said to be recording a collection of tunes which were being described as "pure death/thrash metal."

THE CROWN's video for the track "Face Of Destruction/Deep Hit Of Death" — which was filmed in Germany in August 2003 — can be viewed below. The song was the first single off the group's final CD, "Possessed 13", which was released in October 2003 through Metal Blade. The self-produced effort, which was recorded at Gothenurg's Studio Fredman during May-June 2003, was made available in a special limited-edition double-CD digipack, featuring a bonus CD that contained the band's 1993 "Forever Heaven Gone" and 1994 "Forget The Light" demos, a cover of BATHORY's "Burnin' Leather", and a demo version of "Rebel Angel" (off 2000's "Deathrace King" CD).
