Annthennath was founded in Rochefort (France) in 2002 by Lyshd Mordrak & N°6 (Iconoclast). Subhuman Terrorism, the first demo, was recorded in winter 2004, and released on tape by Krieg Records (Brasil). Lyshd (Sael, Funeraille, Naäkrath) did drums and guitars, and N°6 (Sael, Silver Machine, Barfight) bass, guitars and vocals. Later on, the line up was completed by JH (Diskarial, Withdrawn) on drums, Welkin (Angmar) on bass, and finally Shaxul (Arphaxat, ex-Hirilorn, ex-Deathspell Omega, etc.) on vocals. The LP Paeans of Apostasy was released by Necromancer Records in August, 2008.

Het is voor mij een beetje de DSO van Shaxul. Ben ontzettend benieuwd naar de nieuwe plaat! De 2e demo heb ik ooit eens via internet aangeschaft, was toen al erg onder de indruk.

Geweldige plaat

Dat lekkere, ronkende bas-spel en de solo's maken dat dit album 'het' heeft.

Die basgitaar doet idd heel leuke digen. Leuk dat dat ook een keer te horen is.

Ik had er nog nooit van gehoord, maar tot nu toe klinkt het idd erg ok.

En dat, als ik 'em dan in m'n mond stop en ik bijt, doorbijt, dattie dan zo ineens bwehlehlee whe. Zo loopt, in m'n mond. Dus dat het nat wordt en zoet, in m'n mond. Dát wil ik.
