The Vocal legend recently made the following
statement:
"I am only to thrilled and honored to be back with
ATTACKER! The fans have been great to me throughout my
career and they certainly deserve one more album from
us and believe me when I tell you, we will deliver. We
have really picked up where we left off both musically
and personally. It's as though we never broke up to
begin with. Our friendship is as strong as it ever
was. The material is in the classic style that our
fans have come to appreciated for all these years. We
promise that no one will be disappointed!

I must make it clear, however, Attacker will NOT be a
touring band, but we will, incidentally, make several
festival appearances throughout 2004 to help promote
our upcoming album. I felt, as did the others, that it
was time to properly put closure on the band and give
you, the fans, our new album. I will always be
grateful to my band. It is becasue of ATTACKER that I
am here today".

While on the subject of live shows and festivals, the
plan, as of this writing, is to have Attacker packaged
with Vyndykator (Mitchell's currrent Power Monsters)
for live US and European Festival appearances in 2004.

In summation, "SOUL TAKER" will be released world-wide
in January 2004. The new studio album will
subsequently be followed by a live CD/DVD. There are
currently no plans for a follow-up studio album.

Speculation dictates that this will be Bob Mitchell's
swan song from the world of Heavy Metal. But with
expected new releases from his current bands,
VYNDYKATOR and ALCHEMY X, from this writers
perspective, it doesn't appear as though Ol' Yeller
will be leaving us anytime soon.

Attacker heeft twee super cd's uitgebracht (ik prefereer overigens hun debuut) . Maar ik ben benieuwd of het nieuwe materiaal net zo goed is als het oude werk. Ik hoop het maar.

The house was PACKED with rabid Metal Freaks who sang along to the old Classics and thrashed and banged with lethal fury to the bands newest material! Reports indicate that Metal luminaries were on hand to witness the historic return of the Lords Of Thunder! Members of SEVEN WITCHES, OVERLORDE, M.O.D./S.O.D., VYNDYKATOR, ALCHEMY-X and Label representatives from OUTLAW RECORDINGS and SENTINEL STEEL were in attendance. Former ATTACKER bassist Lou Ciarlo made a touching guest appearance. The band raged through a spectacular set, highlighting songs from the new release, SOUL TAKER, as well as an abundance of ATTACKER classics! For those that missed out on this amazing evening of Metal Mayhem, read for yourself what those in attendance had to say about the event:

"Attacker was quite good, in both their delivery and stage presence, though having shared the stage with them back in the 1980's, that hardly surprised me. On the same note, having played many venues with Bob in both Vyndykator and Alchemy X, the man is just the living embodiement of Dean Martin/Tom Jones transposed into a metal arena. And understand that I don't make that point lightly. It would be very easy for that kind of persona to slip into caricature, but he manages to not only pull it off, but excel at it. I've said this in interviews many times before, but he is by far the best frontman/singer/entertainer I've ever played with, and his approach is completely professional, whether we're playing in front of 10 people or 10,000. It's always interesting to watch him from the audience rather than the stage as I'm used to. All in all, the guys in Attacker put on an outstanding show and i look forward to playing with them at the Classic Metalfest in Chicago this summer".

"Omid here, from Outlaw Recordings well, I was there- and I guess if I had to sum it up I would say that Attacker is back, and all I can say is watch out Europe! These guys kicked it out, they were totally on! Of course Bob Mitchell had the Udo-ish screams down, plus all the stage moves that Tom Jones wishes he could have come up with! I mean that as a compliment! He is truly an entertainer, and Attacker is a truly a Heavy Metal band!"

In a related story, ATTACKER have confirmed that they will begin the writing stages for the fourth Attacker album before hitting the Festival curcuit this Spring and Summer! Upon the bands return from the road, they will commence on working their next album. So it goes without saying that the seminal US Pioneers of True Metal are here to stay!
For what its worth, there are also some unconfirmed reports that ATTACKER may come to Europe! Seperate territorial US tour treks with SEVEN WITCHES and OCTOBER 31, respectively speaking, have also been in buzz bin as of late. Our next update should confirm all. Stay Tuned!....

In celebration of the 20th anniversary of the release of "Battle At Helm's Deep", reunited New Jersey metallers ATTACKER will perform this classic album in its entirety at an exclusive engagement to be held at the Headbanger's Ballroom on Sunday, July 10 in Hamburg, Germany.

Vocalist Bob Mitchell commented: "This is our way of saying thank you to all of our fans in Europe for their years of support and for making our debut at last year's Keep It True Festival in Germany an experience we will never, ever forget."

In addition to this special show, ATTACKER will also appear at these festivals:

ik heb ook al eens ene link naar een nummer van hun aanstaande 4e cd gepost. Als dat een nummer representatief is voor de hele cd wordt het een klapper! ik vrees wel dat veel mensen moeite zullen hebben met de zang........
