Derde cd van Lock up: LOCKUP Finish Mixing Live Album LOCKUP, the grindcore band featuring NAPALM DEATH bassist Shane Embury, NAPALM DEATH guitarist Jesse Pintado, former AT THE GATES/THE CROWN frontman Tomas Lindberg, and ex-DIMMU BORGIR drummer Nick Barker, have finished mixing their live album for a late 2004 release through Toys Factory Records in Japan and Shane's label, Feto Records, in Europe. The as-yet-untitled CD was recorded during the group's Japanese tour in June 2002. It is not presently clear if LOCKUP will go ahead with their previously announced plans of recording a limited-edition EP featuring cover versions of songs by POSSESSED and DARK ANGEL, among others. En wat vindt men hier van de DERDE cd van Lock up? Mijn bescheiden persoontje vindt het de beste van de drie. Goej'ndag eem! Wat een bak agressie! Barker gaat echt helemaal los. Het was me eigenlijk nog nooit zo opgevallen hoe ongelofelijk snel dat dikke mannetje eigenlijk is. Op Necropolis transparant hoor je een bijna perfecte mix van grindcore en death metal. Ik zeg "bijna" omdat de grindcore toch echt wel op de voorgrond staat. Fans van het oude werk kunnen dit derde album blind aanschaffen. Fans van grindcore die niet bekend zijn met Lock up moeten dit album zeker even een kans geven. I know it’s cold, but I will keep us warm with all the hate I radiate. We’ll be walking hand in hand in hell. |

De 3e Lock Up, ik vind de nrs gaaf, maar de productie veel te netjes. Andy Sneap moet geen grindcore doen. |
