HTML version on ddr.looze.net/last.html At last, the final shit you’ll be hearing of us. As you might have noticed, Darkdayrising will cease to exist after March 11. So here’s a final newsletter with some last information you might want to know… - Final Show - Demo - Merchandise - Future ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- Final Show At 11 March we will play our final show in the N201, Aalsmeer (www.n201.nl). Together with our friends from Quarterback and First Fight Down we will attempt to entertain you one last time! The venue opens at 21.00h, so get there in time, huge crowds are expected. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- Demo At this last show our full length demo, titled Ascent of Despair, is going to be for sale for just 2 euro! This demo contains the songs that were supposed to be on our full length album. It contains 9 songs with a total running time of 40 minutes. If you want to order the demo, email us at info@darkdayring.com. For 3 euros you'll recieve it by post (Netherlands). But there are only a limited of copies available! Tracklist: 1. ASCENT OF DESPAIR 2. REMORSELESS ASSAULT 3. FRACTURE 4. ENEMY 5. CALLOUS 6. ENDURING ABHORRANCE 7. NURTURED MISANTHROPY 8. UNFULFILLED DESTINY 9. DOOMSAYER Plagued by software problems (damn you, Cool Edit Pro!) not everything is as we intended it to be but we hope that it can give people an impression of what the future would have looked like for Darkdayrising. All instruments were recorded separately and independent of each other at ‘home studios’, without making use of professional recording equipment. Guitars were recorded with Line 6 Pod Pro DI output, bass guitar with Ampeg SVT 4 Pro DI output and drums with SM58 mics (just 2…) and Alesis D4 trigger module. Vocals were recorded at the Helter Belter studio by Paul Beltman. Lead, rhythm and bass guitar by Roel Drums by Boy Vocals by Jasper ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- Merchandise We still have a few t shirts and girlies (6 euro each) in stock, as well as longsleeves (9 euro) and sweaters (10 euro). You can still order them for reduced prices! The same goes for our music (UD: 4 euro, PtD: 2 euro)! ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- Future Of course we will remain active in different music scenes, we’re just like a plague… Jasper and Roel will be active in the vegan straight edge hardcore band Eye of Judgement. They just released a demo and will be playing near or in your town soon. Check out Eye of Judgement. Jasper also sings in the oldschool hardcore band A Step Apart who have already released a demo and a 7” and will be playing extensively throughout Europe. Check out A step apart. Boy has received more than several offers and is still making a choice which death/thrash/black/heavy/prog band to join. Besides these bands, Roel, Jasper and Boy are starting an oldschool grind band (think old Napalm Death, Terrorizer, the first Lock Up album) called Spartan Icon, so beware! David continues playing bass guitar in the hardcore band Quarterback, drinking and singing along! Tobi doesn’t have any plans for a new band yet but knowing him he won’t be without a band very long! ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- Thanks to: our friends and families, all the bands we played with except for Caliban (one of the worst bands ever with a rockstar attitude to match their shitty music), everybody who has ever organised shows for us, all the zines and ezines who supported us and all you guys that supported us in any way during the past couple of years. C-ya around! The Glorious Dead! |

hmm jammer.. heb DDR een paar keer live gezien en dat klonk zeker goed.. Collectively the Village People have sold 85 million albums and singles, and they regularly tour Australia. |
