Having just completed a 28 date tour of the UK and USA with acclaimed ‘super’ group DEAD MEN WALKING, who feature as well as Kirk Brandon, Mike Peters (the Alarm) – Bruce Watson (Big Country) – Slim Jim Phantom (Stray Cats) & Captain Sensible (The Damned) Brandon leads his merry band of men known as Spear of Destiny across Europe in May 2006 on a 24 strong date tour in support of the new studio album “LOADESTONE”. Dates in the USA are to follow in October.

A new album has just been completed. “LOADESTONE” will hit the shops in April 2006, a specially commissioned film for each song will accompany the music on the album, which will be a dual CD/DVD packaged release. Those who have seen and heard the finished product have been amazed by the provocative power of the music and imagery. This latest touring formation is a power house live and the set list for these shows will as ever, draw on the massive collective works of Brandon put together over some 20+ years through his time as leader of SPEAR OF DESTINY and THEATRE OF HATE. Spear classics Never Take Me Alive, The Wheel, Mickey and Rainmaker will feature along side newer classics such as Age of Unreason, Cogs, Pskotik as well as the bril-liant & brave cover of Joy Division’s Transmission (as heralded by Peter Hook no less !) and no show would be complete without TOH’s Do You Believe In The Westworld ?

As well as the new studio album, EMI have decided to release a “best of” from the Virgin Records era of the SOD career, with extra unheard tracks and sleeve notes and pictures supplied by Brandon, this catalogue CD will be a must for all fans of the band. 2006 will see Brandon’s fan based 3 day gathering, known as Westworld Weekend, reach it’s fifth successive year in April. Held in the northwest town of Crewe at the Limelight Club, this weekend event has gone from strength to strength and promises to be bigger and better in 2006.
