No matter how blistering hot the weather outside (or totally not), the concert space tonight will be filled with the coldest and most unwholesome un-summerly sounds. A new crop of live acts from Norway, Sweden and our own muddy little country, to disturb the summer fun and sun with a mix of compact (meaning not too long) sets full of black metallish noise, ambient and industrial blasphemy. Meanwhile in the bar, to contrast nicely with all this darkness, some friendly muzak on the turntables.

JON ERIKSEN:
Eriksen is a visual artist and noise musician. His recent video works and installations deal with overdriven modes of expression in contemporary culture in general, and the subcultures and dialectics of extreme music and film in particular.

UTARM:
Utarm is not Black Metal, neither Noise or Doom, but true satanic desperation not bound by musical structures, akin to the 'electronic' Burzum albums, but dare we say better and heavier...

STEN OVE TOFT
Toft is one half of the Ryfylke project and a mainstay of Norwegian Noise for sometime. He also runs the prolific Roggbif label, putting out some of the most interesting music from the genre.
