Op 29 oktober a.s. is het dertig jaar geleden dat de Sex Pistols Never Mind the Bollocks uitbrachten. Een legendarische plaat die heel wat teweeg heeft gebracht in de muziekwereld. Om die lp te herdenken willen een aantal enthousiaste punkliefhebbers op 3 november (vanaf 21.00 uur) een tribute organiseren waarbij bands worden uitgenodigd een of twee nummers van die lp te gaan spelen. Place 2 Be is Coevorden in de provincie Drenthe Wij zorgen voor een complete backline, er hoeven alleen maar instrumenten worden meegenomen en de drumm(st)er zijn of haar bekkens.
Op dit moment inventariseren we of we voldoende bands bij elkaar kunnen krijgen om het tribute door te laten gaan. We hebben minimaal zes bands nodig, drie daarvan hebbenzich al aangemeld. Er is ruimte voor twaalf bands. Op het tribute zal een hoofdact gaan spelen uit de Nederlandse punkscene. Wie dat gaat worden.....voorlopig een verassing.
Bands kunnen zich opgeven via de mail met vermelding van bandnaam en welke nummers er worden gespeeld. Niet alleen punkbands worden uitgenodigd, wie Anarchy in the UK kan spelen in Death Metal stijl (of welke stijl dan ook) is van harte welkom.
Dus: geef je op, duik de oefenruimte in en laat horen hoe origineel jullie een nummer van The Sex Pistols kunnen vertolken!
