:: NEW SONG ONLINE ::

Allright, in March we recorded two brand new songs for a promo cd together with Aborted bassplayer Sven Janssens in his homestudio. These songs have been mixed and mastered now at CCR Studio. We send out the promo packages to the labels last week and now we’re waiting for the reactions. We hope to find ourselves a nice label this way for the release of our next full cd, early 2009.

Now, 2009 is still a long time away so we want let you guys in on what we’ve been up to over the last couple of months. Therefore we decided to put one of these new songs online.

:: NEW FULL CD ::

All of this means that as of now we are completely focussing our activities on our next release. The recordings of the new cd will take place at CCR Studio. We were already very pleased with the cooperation with Kris from CCR during the recording process of ‘The True Face Of Human Nature’ and we believe we can get even better results out of this cooperation. Studio time has been booked for September & October 2008. The ideal scenario would be to see the cd released early 2009!

Klinkt niet slecht, beukt alleen iets te weinig naar mijn mening, ik verlies op de helft van het nummer mijn aandacht, daarna wordt die gelukkig wel hersteld door een andere gave riff. Beetje traag nummer ook.

A few months ago we decided to work together with THE PROPHECY AGENCY (HOL) for our bookings in Holland and some other countries. For bookings in Germany we will be represented by INFECTED MANAGEMENT & BOOKING (GER) from now on. Their roster includes kick ass bands such as Dying Humanity, Forever It Shall Be & Soulgate’s Dawn. We hope these agencies will help us to establish our name outside the Benelux after the release of the new album.

:: ENDORSEMENTS ::

Crimson Falls endorses Elixir Strings (bass) & RAN Guitars. Nijn will exclusively be using Elixir strings from now on for his five string. As far as guitars go, we’ve been proud RAN users since 2004. For my next RAN Crimson Virgo 7-string I worked out a nice deal with RAN guitars. Looking forward to hold this new beauty in my hands.

:: NEW FULL CD ::

This Sunday 15.09.2008 we’ll be entering CCR Studio (http://www.ccrstudio.be/) for the recordings of our second full cd! We’ve composed 11 new kick ass songs with which we believe we have moved our limits again. To us this is the best stuff we have ever written, but of course audience & press will have to judge about that. Avernus Studios (http://www.myspace.com/avernusstudios) will be taking care off the artwork again. More information like the cd-title and tracklist will be revealed later on. We hope to see the new album out early 2009!

:: THE DEAD E.P. ::

As that is still a long period away, we have been working on another project lately as well. At the end of October we’ll release ‘THE DEAD E.P.’! This E.P. will be a concept-cd around the songs ‘In Flanders Fields’ & ‘We Are The Dead’ which were already featured on ‘The True Face Of Human Nature’ as well. When we recorded these songs back in 2006 for our debut full cd , we already had the idea of doing something ‘special’, something more with these two tracks as we found the lyrical content very striking. We wanted to emphasize this. The idea of building an E.P. around these two songs started taking form pretty soon. Therefore we even recorded a Dutch version of the song ‘In Flanders Fields’ during the recording sessions for ‘The True Face…’. With the help of Herwig Verleyen, an auteur from Bruges who had written the translation ‘In Vlaanderens velden’, we tracked down the first Crimson Falls song in our mother language. The ‘In Flanders Fields’ Museum in Ieper was found interested in supporting this project as well. To them this appeared to be a perfect way to translate the theme of the First World War to a younger public.

Unfortunately we had to postpone this project because we didn’t have the means and time to complete it properly at that time. But the idea kept lingering in our minds and now the timing is right to come out with this for real! THE DEAD E.P. will contain at least 4 songs; the three aforementioned songs and 1 brand new song to give you a nice preview of our next full cd.

4. Cordoba (previously unreleased)

Possibly we’ll also add a 5th song to this E.P; though that is unsure at this point.

Artwork for this EP is in the hands of Tom for Suspiria Design (http://www.myspace.com/suspiriadesign). This will be a DIY release, set for 29.11.2008. Of course we can’t let this one come out without a bang, so we’re preparing a special release-show weekend on the 29th & 30th of November 2008! This we’ll be our first shows since the end of July, apart for our appearance at the Mass Deathtruction Fest in Namur with Vital Remains & God Dethroned on 11.10.2008.
