Crimson Falls

Crimson Falls blends a wide range of influences into an intense, passionate and crushing unity of death metal, metalcore and thrash metal. Expect fast and aggressive riffs, brutal mosh breakdowns, blistering blasts, complex rhythms and melancholic melodies. Influences include the mighty At The Gates, All Shall Perish, Lamb Of God, Heaven Shall Burn, Behemoth, In-Quest, Meshuggah, Nevermore & Aborted.. to name just a few. However, Crimson Falls has a face of their own, so don..t expect a mere copy of any of the aforementioned bands.

Crimson Falls proclaims a positive message of freedom, self-confidence and following your dreams, while other songs put the finger on the pulse of our modern society and it..s excesses. A variety of topics is brought up, going from a personal outlet of emotions ("When The Blood Becomes Adrenaline", ..Poetry For The Scum..), over topical social issues ("Controle Alt Delete", "Book Of Memories", ..Martyr Vs. Terrorist..) to the expression of a positive attitude in life ("Erase All Fear", ..Four Slaves, Four Struggles.., "The Crimson Eyed"). This band is for the moshers as well as the headbangers, the metalheads ànd the hardcore kids. No limits, no boundaries.

This Sunday 15.09.2008 we’ll be entering CCR Studio (www.ccrstudio.be/) for the recordings of our second full cd! We’ve composed 11 new kick ass songs with which we believe we have moved our limits again. To us this is the best stuff we have ever written, but of course audience & press will have to judge about that. Avernus Studios (www.myspace.com/avernusstudios) will be taking care off the artwork again. More information like the cd-title and tracklist will be revealed later on. We hope to see the new album out early 2009!

Time for another update from the CF-front!

:: THE DEAD E.P. SET FOR RELEASE! ::



Next Sunday 30.11.2008 we’ll be releasing THE DEAD E.P. on the annual Posthuis Metal Meeting. The Dead E.P. is a brand new concept-cd, built around the songs ‘In Flanders Fields’ & ‘We Are The Dead’, the theme of the First World War and the battle for freedom. As two of the four songs on this E.P. were already featured on our previous full cd, we don’t consider this E.P. as our ‘real’ new release. That honour goes to our second full cd, to be release in 2009. This E.P. is just a project we wanted to do for ourselves and by ourselves, DIY, as we found the lyrical content very striking and thought this was nice opportunity to do something special with these songs.

THE DEAD E.P. contains 4 songs;
1. In Flanders Fields (taken from ‘The True Face Of Human Nature’)
2. We Are The Dead (taken from ‘The True Face Of Human Nature’)
3. In Vlaanderens velden (previously unreleased)
4. Cordoba (previously unreleased)

The artwork was designed by Tom for Suspiria Design (http://www.myspace.com/suspiriadesign).

The E.P. can be ordered as of now by sending an email to crimsonfalls@hotmail.com and of course it’s available on our upcoming shows. We’re also setting up a small, but decent distribution to make it available in other ways as well. THE DEAD E.P. will be available soon at:

Meanwhile the production of our next full cd is nearly finished! Mixing is almost done, just some last details have to be changed and then it can be mastered in the beginning of December. Svencho Avernus Studio is finishing the artwork as we speak, so we hope to reveal more details about the new album, such as album title, tracklist, front cover & releasedate soon! Expect 11 new devastating Death Metal/Metalcore tracks, more brutal ànd melodic than ever before!

Now the biggest part of the studio work is behind us we can get back on stage again. First all we will release THE DEAD E.P. next Sunday at PMM ’08.



This will be our first show in 5 months, apart from our appearance at the Massdeathtruction Fest in Namur. We are very happy to announce CRIMSON FALLS[/color] will be joining Genet Records for the release of our upcoming new full cd! We’re proud to join a label with such a rich history and to step in the footsteps of killer acts like Liar, Walls Of Jericho, Facedown and even Shadows Fall. On the roster we meet our buddies in Rafflesia and Blood Redemption, needles to say we’re looking forward to team up with them again, as we are looking forward to collaborate with the entire Genet crew.

Een paar jaar geleden mocht bovengetekende al 'Ruins 2K5' recenseren en toen was al duidelijk dat deze Belgen veelbelovend waren. Iets dat de heren onderstreepten middels het prima debuut 'The True Face Of Human Nature'. De mannen hebben hun deathcore inmiddels zo verfijnd dat ze op deze opvolger met nog minder moeite je volledig de vernieling in beuken. En beuken doet dit als een malle! Wat Crimson Falls van menig deathcoreband onderscheid is dat het niet vervalt in tot in den treure doorgevoerd technisch getreuzel en blastgeneuzel. Sterke punten zijn de dynamiek, de afwisseling (zowel muzikaal als qua stem) en de venijnige riffs. Mooi voorbeeld daarvan is "Solace", toch wel één van de betere knallers op deze plaat. Met deze plaat verovert Crimson Falls moeiteloos een plek aan de Belgische top en zal menig internationale bands met het schaamrood op de kaken terug de oefenruimte in sturen. (Mike Barbas) 84/100

Our drummer Sigi Loots has decided to leave CRIMSON FALLS. Sigi was one of the founding members of the band, being with us since spring 2002. After 7,5 years investing lots of time and effort in the band Sigi couldn’t bring up enough motivation any longer to keep his input in the band on the same level. Sigi will play his last show with us on 19.12.2009 at the Negasonic in Aalst, so make sure you’re there to give Sigi a nice goodbye-show! We regret Sigi's decision but we want to thank him for everything he did for the band during these past years & we are grateful for everything we achieved with him. We couldn’t have done it without you!

Sigi’s departure doesn’t mean the end of CRIMSON FALLS; not at all. The four remaining members are ready to keep this train going more than ever! Friso Van Wijck (ex- Polluted Inheritance, Strych.Nine) will step in as a temporary replacement for Sigi. This means that we won't have to cancel any show! So you can still come over and mosh with us on the following occasions:

:: GERMAN WEEKEND TOUR/FIRST SHOWS WITH FRISO ::

2010 has kicked off for CRIMSON FALLS as well! Last weekend we played at the cd releaseshows of our German buddies Lower Hell in Stuttgart & Achern. We had a blast playing there! In Stuttgart we hit the stage at Juha West, a cool youth club with an very enthousiast audience. The day after was even more ass-kicking; we played at a packed club in Achern, + 300 paying visitors, horns up! Thanks to Lower Hell for inviting us to their cd-presentations and making this a weekend to remember!

These shows were also the first shows we did with our interim-drummer Friso Van Wijck. All we can say is that Friso did an amazing job! It only took him two rehearsals with us in the week before the shows to nail a complete live set. Of course we’re looking forward to bring Friso to our next shows in Belgium & Holland as well. Come & check him out on one of the occasions listed below!

:: SEARCH FOR A NEW DRUMMER ::

Meanwhile we are still searching for a new permanent drummer. At this point we have 3 candidates who will audition over the next few weeks and we are trilled to meet these skinbeaters! BUT; we are still accepting applications so all you drummers out there who want a shot on becoming the new CRIMSON FALLS drummer; this is your moment!
