Word die post hype nu wel een beetje zat eigenlijk.

Monads surprised everyone with their debutdemo 'Intellectus Iudicat Veritatem'. Initially released by the band on musicasette, all tapes were sold out after six days. Monads combine elements of slow and dragging funeral doom with melodic death/doom parts. The combination is a completely crushing, heavy and unique atmosphere. Once in a while we are surprised with influences from other styles, like in 'Broken gates to nowhere', where we find ourselves drifting away on a post-rock influenced second half, reminding of Daturah, God is an Astronaut and Mono; or 'Absent as in these veins', which ends in a fiery and fast blastbeat climax. Now, finally, the demo has been released on deluxe digipak CD by Ordo MCM / Despondency Records / Heidens Hart.
