TICKETS: https://shop.ticketscript.com/channel/web2/get-dates/rid/87BTUNFL/eid/132555/language/nl DEVIOUS Dutch metal band DEVIOUS has just finished working on their long awaited release “WOLFHAGEN”. New singer Dennis Lusseveld makes his first appearance on these recordings, as well as the brutal bass thunders of Alwin Zuur (Asphyx). Jörg Uken of Soundlodge, Germany, is responsible for the mixing and mastering. The result is a groundbreaking, heavy portion of grooving and melodic 2012 metal, supplemented with some classical influences. The limited edition, a hand numbered metal case, features 5 new tracks and 2 previously unreleased bonus tracks. Devious seeks collaboration with a record label to release “Wolfhagen” worldwide. Devious was founded in 2000 by Guido de Jongh (guitar) and Frank Schilperoort (drums). With a predilection for thrash metal, the band immediately started building up an outstanding live reputation in The Netherlands. With the release of their first full length album “ACTS OF RAGE”, by Spitzenburg Records in 2003, Devious gained a definitive place within the Dutch metal scene. In the following years, Devious shared stages with bands like Cannibal Corpse, Suffocation, Vader, Crowbar and The Dillinger Escape Plan. In 2006 the band toured Europe with Brasilian death machine Krisiun. With the release of “DOMAIN” (deity down records, 2007), Devious proved to have become a top class act in the extreme metal genre. Besides 12 grooving death metal tracks, the album features a professionally shot video of the song “Room 302” (directed by Robin van Belzen). “Domain” was received very well by both press and metal fans. Devious’ third full length album “VISION” was released on August 31, 2009. The album was mixed by producer Jochem Jacobs (Textures / Split Second Sound Studio) and produced by founding member and main song writer Guido de Jongh. The release was followed by an European tour with Entombed and Merauder. ANATOMY OF I ANATOMY OF I is a progressive extreme metal band from the Netherlands, formed by Michael Dorrian (guitars/vocals) in 2009. The line-up is rounded out by longtime friends Steve Di Giorgio (SADUS, DEATH, TESTAMENT) on bass and Dirk Verbeuren (SCARVE, SOILWORK) on drums. A founding member of melodic thrash metal band TERMINAL EYE with whom Dorrian recorded a full length album at Andy Larocque’s Los Angered studio in 2006, the band disbanded during the completion of the album; with Rune Foss (PUTERAEON, RECLUSION) filling in on vocals at the last minute. This experience led Dorrian to focus entirely on his own vision without any compromises, thus ‘ANATOMY OF I’ was born. Recorded in Dirk Verbeuren and Michael Dorrian’s personal studios and mixed at Fear Studio by Simone Mularoni (EMPYRIOS, DGM) in 2010, the debut album ‘Substratum’ consists of 10 unique songs of boundless energy and rage with many twists, never letting speed dominate the soundscape and leaving plenty of room for each instrumentalist to shine. Self-released by the band’s own label, ‘Red Nautilus Records’, Substratum is an album with a strong personality and devastating power. The lyrics deal with various subjects presented through allegories, leaving the listener to delve into a myriad of thoughts rather than blatantly forcing our opinions upon them. Often described as a tech-Death band, the band prefers the term ‘progressive extreme metal’ as technique is merely a tool to add depth to their music, rather than being its focal point. While standing firmly in the realm of extreme metal, ANATOMY OF I pushes the boundaries by incorporating many time & tempo changes, chord progressions, variations and a certain degree of improvisation. Influences from various forms of experimental and avant-garde music can be heard throughout the record, but without ever losing focus and staying within the structures of straight-forward songwriting. Creating memorable songs and using catchy hooks will always be at the core of ANATOMY OF I’s music. As Di Giorgio and Verbeuren will not be available to tour with ANATOMY OF I to support the debut album, Dorrian has put together a Dutch-based line-up consisting of MELLE KRAMER from OBSIDIAN on drums and ex-TERMINAL EYE member GIUSEPPE FORMISANO on fretless bass. CAEDERE As a continuation of Concrete, the development of Caedere took serious shape when drummer Sjoerd entered the band around February 2001. With guitarist/singer Niels, bass guitarist Herbert and singer Michiel, the band started to write new songs. A year later, the EP “Gore to Banish Fear” was the first release, on Caedere’s own initiative. Meanwhile, the number of gigs increased and Caedere reached a second place in the Metal Battle competition. Caedere gained a record deal with “Gore to Banish Fear”. US based Goregiastic Records signed Caedere and released the full-length debut album “Mass Emission” late November 2003. The album got numerous positive reviews. Dutch metal magazine ‘Aardschok’ gave 90 out of 100 points for it in its assessment. At the time, Caedere needed a second guitar player and Thomas was fit for the job. He joined the band in the latter part of 2003. Caedere had more concerts, and started to perform abroad; i.e. the Ludwighafen deathfest, two weekends in Portugal, a show in Amiens (France), and a performance at the Obscene Extreme festival 2005 in the Czech Republic. 2006 was to be a year of writing material for the second album. In June, the band recorded a promo and it was released January 2007. This with the intention to gain a new record deal. Spanish Grotesque Productions signed Caedere and finally released the band’s second full-length “Clones of Industry” late December 2009. In the meanwhile Caedere still performed with interesting names such as Cryptopsy, Sinister, Krisiun, Immolation, Deeds of Flesh, and proceed writing new material for a third album. Late 2009 drummer Sjoerd decided to leave the band because he lost his interests. However, he will continue to support the band until April 2010. In the meanwhile, Caedere had the time to look for another drummer. In January 2010, Allard van der Kuip joined the band. However, his travels took his toll and after a year Allard decided to leave the band. Late 2011, Jarno Olinga Joined the band as the new drummer. The music could be seen as a mixture of US blast death metal and Swedish (old school) death metal. Brutal, but with a catchy edge. [Dit bericht is gewijzigd door Greycloak op 31-05-2012 13:31] |
