THISQUIETARMY (CAN)

thisquietarmy is the experimental guitar-based project of Eric Quach from Montreal, Quebec, Canada - active since 2005. Revolving around improvised guitar-based drone music, he takes his sonic experimentations further by adding textural and structural elements of post-punk, shoegaze, krautrock, post-rock, black metal and doom metal to them. The results can be described as dark, melodic, expansive and engaging dreamscapes. His live performances are mostly presented as a real-time score to hypnotic ethereal visuals, which he creates himself for each performance.

Jason Van Gulick (BE)
drummer, composer, performer

Academic training in architecture, Jason Van Gulick looking for more than a decade has blasted the foundations of the drum. Foreign aesthetic limitations, disciplinary, or formal, he developed his artistic discourse by comparing the acoustic character of his instrument amplification through microphones and sensors, playing with the possibilities that are open to explore architecture by diffusion in space.
For 20 years, he built an eclectic musical background. Party hardcore, extreme rock and post-metal, it passes through the jazz and improvisation find these brands in the noise and being influenced by contemporary music ...
It grows and grows into a myriad of musical projects including the famous Carla Bozulich and Evangelista, YERMO, NO HAY Deaz ... and other projects mixing audio and video (collectively Dega!) Or the composition and play theater and performance art.
