Bevalt me een stuk beter dan het eveneens Australische Portal. Op een paar gave stukken na, kom ik er niet in.

Ik vind Altars een beetje een mix van oude Morbid Angel, Incantation met wat verdwaalde flarden black metal. De grunt doet me heel erg aan Aeternus denken.

Portal is dan ook behoorlijk verknipt, Altars is goed rechtdoor met de nodige occulte klanken.
