Leng Tch'e (BE) - Razorgrind

After quickly gaining a large underground following through the release of a split 7” and two full length albums, LENG TCH’E became widely recognized with their third album “The Process of Elimination” (Relapse Records, 2005), which was mixed by Tue Madsen (THE HAUNTED, ABORTED, DARK TRANQUILITY). Hooks that sink into your brain accompanied some of the fastest and most extreme grind to emerge in years as LENG TCH’E proved that grindcore can continue to evolve, while staying true to its formative roots. The Belgians were rewarded with festival shows among others at Furyfest, Graspop, Summerbreeze and Maryland Deathfest as well as worldwide touring. Their next output “Marasmus” (Relapse Records, 2007) saw LENG TCH’E adding more heaviness and pronounced Death Metal riffing. Mixed by Fredrik Nordström (AT THE GATES, IN FLAMES) “Marasmus” put LENG TCH’E squarely at the forefront of the modern extreme scene. With their fifth album “Hypomanic” (Season Of Mist, 2010), produced by Russ Russell (NAPALM DEATH, BRUJERIA, DIMMU BORGIR) Belgium’s hardest hitting bunch honed its brutal yet clever Deathgrind to a new level of perfection.

Houwitser - Death Metal

Ravishing death metal machine Houwitser was founded in 1997 by Michel Alderliefsten. The Dutch death metal commandos have their official headquarters in Rotterdam, the Netherlands. In different formations Houwitser unleashed 5 full-length albums upon mankind.

Houwitser currently reorganized their squad. Mike van Mastrigt, the original frontman and drummer Marten van Kruijssen where recruited for this ‘Terror Legion’. The Houwitser death metal commandos are working on their 6th full-length album. This devastating piece of art must be ready before the battle of Armageddon.

Smothered (SWE) - Death Metal

Hailing from the SweDeath capital of the world, Smothered is the latest addition to the underground metal scene, following in the footsteps of early Entombed and Dismember, their lyrical themes include Lovecraftian horrors, Serial killers and Nuclear war. The debut album "The Inevitable End" was released in December 2013.

Nefast - Black Metal

Nefast are three guys taking their listeners on a trip through cold, harsh black metal and psychedelic mayhem. In the summer of 2013 this three-piece started jamming out their noise, with influences ranging from Pink Floyd to Darkthrone, and are taking nothing too seriously ever since, except for blasting out pitch black fucking metal.

Zware Metalen is ook lyrisch over de debuutplaat van Smothered, "The Inevitable End" en ontvangt 82/100. Erg vet dat ze bij ons hun eerste buitenlandse show ooit spelen in Hilversum. "The Inevitable End" is trouwens uitgebracht door het eveneens Hilversumse Soulseller Records.
