"Greece's SEPTIC FLESH have completed work on their new album, entitled Sumerian Daemons, with producer Fredrik Nordström (i.e. HAMMERFALL, IN FLAMES, ARCH ENEMY, DIMMU BORGIR, etc.) at Gothenburg's Studio Fredman for an October release through Hammerheart Records. Among the tracks set to appear on the 13-song effort are the following:

02. Faust
03. Infernal Sun
04. Mechanical Babylon
05. Dark River
06. The Virtues of the Beast

According to the group's official web site, "the musical direction of Sumerian Daemons is the apotheosis of extremity in all forms and a praise to the dark ancient ways that still live on, disguised with the skin of the new age... The new sound is a huge wall made from brutal guitars, with nightmarish, mesmerizing melodies while the deep low vocals of Set<'h>. are combined with the cinematic style of a full choir directed from Chris A. and the returning dramatic voice of Natalie Rasoulis. You can also expect some ultra violent, fast-paced songs that will make your ears bleed."

In other news, SEPTIC FLESH are scheduled to embark on a 10-day Polish tour in October with VOMITORY and MALEVOLENT CREATION. Also in the works is a three-week European trek in November with DISMEMBER, SINISTER, THYRFING and other Hammerheart recording artists

interessant nieuws, ik vond de laatste cd goed en dan vooral het nummer Science...

Hmm als je de laatste cd al goed vindt zou je misschien eens ouder werk uit moeten spitten.

Hun debuut Mystic places of dawn komt trouwens uit in een geremasterde versie daar hun debuut eerst wat dof klonk.

ik ben benieuwd.
Ik heb de eerste 2, de 2 daarna heb ik gehoord, maar revolution dna nog niet.

Mistic places of dawn en ezonpton zijn absolute toppers. Deze band doet echt niet onder voor rotting christ en die zijn ook erg goed.

Wat is er zo goed aan Rotting Christ? Heb er behalve de bandnaam nooit wat aan gevonden; eindeloos herhalen van riffjes...

RC heeft misschien niet 30 riffs in een nummer zitten, maar ze weten echt wel altijd een heel tof sfeertje neer te zetten met hun muziek. Ik moet zeggen dat die Khronos me echt geen minuut verveelt. En ook t oudere werk als Thy Mighty Contract en Non Serviam zijn meesterwerken natuurlijk...

Valt nog mee; op A fallen temple staat hun (allereerste) EP (geremastered); van voor Mystic places dus! Ook heb ik een cd die heet 'Forgotten paths' met hun demo en oude live trax; voer voor de freak van oud spul dus!
