Was dat niet een band die allemaal metalversies van al bestaande nummers maakte?

nog wat gevonden info :

Scatterbrain
Tommy Christ (Vocals)
Glen Cummings (Guitar)
Paul Nieder (Guitar)
Gut Brogna (Bass)
Mike Boyko (Drums)

The core members of Scatterbrain, consisting of Tommy Christ, Glen Cummings, and Paul Nieder, were members together with Ludichrist back in the late 80’s. Getting tired of their raw brand of heavy metal, Ludichrist broke up and partially regrouped to form an entertaining brand of humorous metal with the aid of Guy and Mike filling out the rhythm section.

Scatterbrain’s 1990 debut is definitely not one to be taken seriously. Nor is the band. How can you when the lead singer comes out on stage in a full chicken costume? These guys were here to rock and have fun. The album does contain a couple of songs that you can take as serious jams like “That’s That” or “Outta Time”. But, overall it’s humor rock all the way though. There’s the cover of Cheech & Chong’s “Earache My Eye”. You know that one…”My mama’s talkin’ to me, she tells me how to live”…de de de…de de de…de…de…de. Yeah, that one. Their big hit was the ‘50’s influenced “Don’t Call Me Dude”. Though the songs are fun, it shouldn’t shadow the excellent guitar riffs and jams. It’s definite metal with a splash of funk and a twist of the funnies. Another standout on this album is the outrageous “Down With the Ship” (Slight Return). It’s loaded with all kinds of famous guitar riffs including Metallica’s “Seek and Destroy”, Billy Squier’s “Lonely is the Night”, Aerosmith’s “Walk This Way”, Van Halen, The Doors, and many more.

The band gained their biggest fame with the Here Comes Trouble album. In 1994 they went on to release a second effort titled Mundus Intellectualis. The band had a hardcore fan base and continued to tour and entertain the crowd the way only they can. But, laugh they could not do much longer. For they fell prisoner to the gray days of flannel and grunge.

If you like heavy metal with loads of guitar rock, having a good time, and a good sense of humor, look no further. It’s all wrapped up in one nice package for your convenience and listening pleasure. Extra bonus rages for their knack of creativity.

LUDICHRIST: Overheard At Last Rehearsal… - Nov. 4, 2006

'80s hardcore metal act LUDICHRIST and the band formed out of its remains, SCATTERBRAIN, will reunite for a one-off performance at B.B. King Blues Club & Grill in New York City on February 23, 2007. The bandmemers have issued the following update on the rehearsal sessions for the upcoming gig:

"OK, so now the show is less than four months away. We're only practicing once a week, but that's enough for now. We've gotten through all the LUDICHRIST stuff and are starting to tighten it up. Some of these songs (a few on 'Powertrip') are pretty hard to learn and play. The songs change parts every few seconds; the same riff is rarely repeated the same number of times, the drums are always doing something atypical; the guitars duel; and on and on and on. And even the uncomplicated songs are so freakin' fast that it takes some work to play them. We'll start on the SCATTERBRAIN stuff soon.

Overheard at our last rehearsal…

'Why the fuck does this part change every 2 seconds?'
'Who wrote this shit?'
'These are the stupidest fuckin' lyrics ever – don't ask me what I was thinking.'
'Let's just cut that part.'
'Tighten that up.'
'How are we supposed to do this for over two hours?'
'That's a stupid fuckin' song.'
'Hold it, my fingers hurt.'
'Does anybody know what I'm supposed to be singing on this part?'
'Just play anything.'
'Are we sure we want to play this song?'
'Totally disregard everything I'm about to play.'
'You're playing too fast.'
'You're playing too slow.'
'I forgot to bring my guitar.'

"That's it for now - we'll keep you updated. Look for an announcement on the opening bands soon.

"One final note…To all of you that write us and say come to ____________. It's nice to be wanted and we appreciate the love, but we ain't comin' to you brothers and sisters. You gotta come to us. We're playing in NYC, not on the moon. Get yourself a ticket and take yourself a little trip — we'd love to see ya…"
