Yep,
voor degene die O.T. nog niet kennen:
OFFICIUM TRISTE's Early Feats of Arms:
* founded early 1994
* recorded first promo tape, demo '94
* self financed EP 1996 'Mountains of depressiveness'
* debut CD 'Ne vivam' 1997 through Teutonic Existence records
* various very successful gigs with nationally and internationally well known acts, among which Anathema
* split mini CD 1998 with cult American doom act Cold Mourning
OFFICIUM TRISTE's Recent history:
A newly recorded promo 2000 with new members gained a lot of positive reactions in the metal scene worldwide. With old traditions and fresh ideas the band succeeded in capturing the beauty and essence of the melodic doom metal style perfectly! Displeased Records was among the first to approach the band and shortly thereafter the band signed a two-album deal with Displeased records!
Officium Triste, now strengthened with ex-Liar of Golgotha member Lawrence Meyer, immediately began writing songs for their second full length album, The pathway, which was professionally recorded in June 2001. All seven epic and glooming doom tracks capture that melancholic and tragic feel Officium Triste has always been known for. This release will surely please the many fans of acts like Anathema and My Dying Bride!
Besides this first full length for this label, Displeased records will also release a limited edition 7"EP with two non-album recordings (among which an astonishing Chorus of Ruin cover), originally sold as a CD-R at a 1998 concert!
Concerten
10 November, Baroeg Rotterdam;
25 November, Zapp-festival Nighttown Rotterdam;
8 december, Thunderturf Metalfestival, 't Turfschip Etten Leur.
