The best of both worlds: VAN HALEN. I generally avoid temptation...unless I can't resist it. |

DAVID LEE ROTH Continues Pushing For VAN HALEN Reunion - May 25, 2006 David Lee Roth recently spoke to Gary Graff of Billboard.com about the possibility of a reunion with his former VAN HALEN bandmates. "I see it absolutely as an inevitability," said Roth, who was deposed by CBS Radio in late April as one of Howard Stern's replacements. "There's contact between the two camps, and they have legitimate management; Irv Azoff is part of their loop now. "To me, it's not rocket surgery. It's very simple to put together. And as far as hurt feelings and water under the dam, like what's-her-name says to what's-her-name at the end of the movie 'Chicago' — 'So what? It's showbiz!' So I definitely see it happening." Roth is also planning to tour later this summer to play VAN HALEN hits — "I'm so proud of that music," he says — favorites from his solo album and covers. He says he'll leave the banjos and fiddles at home, though. "I like to bring out the brass section now and the keyboard players and the singers and so forth," Roth explained. "It's probably a little closer to THE ROLLING STONES' revue than to the early three-piece power trio. But the demand is amazing; I guess I'm lucky enough to be one of those guys now who can point at the map and say 'Let's go here' — or, rather, my favorite expression, which is 'Let's follow the sun.'" EDDIE VAN HALEN Says He Is Open To Playing With DAVID LEE ROTH Again - Sep. 8, 2006 Guitarist Eddie Van Halen appeared on "The Howard Stern Show" this morning (September 8) to promote the upcoming porn movie called "Sacred Sin", for which he recorded two songs. During the interview, Eddie stated he is open to playing again with former VAN HALEN frontman David Lee Roth, and described himself as being on the outs with VH bassist Michael Anthony and Sammy Hagar (he referred to Sammy and Michael's THE OTHER HALF touring group a "cover band"). He also revealed that his next venture into music will be an album featuring himself, his brother Alex Van Halen on drums, and Eddie's son, Wolfgang. As previously reported, Van Halen will co-host a party for the launch of "Sacred Sin", on September 30. The event is being dubbed "The Gathering", and the guitarist is teaming up with director Michael Ninn for the private, invitation-only bash on at "the 5150 Estate in Los Angeles," which is presumably Van Halen's home. Van Halen previously explained his relationship with Ninn to the adult industry website AVN.com by saying, "I'm working with a friend — very simple. I like his work. Michael Ninn is like a Spielberg to me: the imagery, the way he makes things look, just... sensual." The two new songs are "Rise", which Van Halen wrote, and a remix of a track titled "Catherine", which was originally the theme music from Ninn's 2005 movie of the same name, according to Launch Radio Networks. The guitarist said, "If 'Catherine' doesn't move you, you're brain-dead." Van Halen also supplied some of the piano music that's heard throughout "Sacred Sin". "Sacred Sin" will be released next Wednesday (September 13). The DVD is supposed to feature Van Halen in music videos for the two full-length songs. Clips of the music and the movie can be found at ninnworx.com/sacredsin, but it is an adult movie, so all the necessary precautions should be taken. Leuk. Valt ook veel geld mee te verdienen, lijkt me zo. |

Van Halen Favo nummers: I'll wait Get up (and make it work) Eruption Running with the devil Ain't talking about love En wist je dat Eddie ook de gitaarsolo in Michael Jacksons Beat it gespeeld heeft? Hello-hooray-let the show begin-I've been ready |

Hello-hooray-let the show begin-I've been ready |
Van Halen is een hele goeie band ''Eruption'' blijft toch m'n favo nummer van ze. |
quote: Pretty Woman is gewoon een cover door Van Halen. Staat op Diver Down. |
Ik kan niet zeggen dat ik het geweldige muziek vind, heb wel respect voor de invloed die eddie had met zijn gitaar spelen.. |

As previously reported, it's looking more and more like David Lee Roth and Eddie Van Halen will reunite at least one more time in VAN HALEN. Eddie and his brother Alex are prepping for a tour next year, with Eddie's 15-year-old son Wolfgang on bass instead of Michael Anthony, but no singer has been officially announced. Now Eddie told Guitar World magazine, "I'm telling Dave, 'Dude, get your ass up here and sing, bitch! Come on!'... As it stands right now, the ball is in Dave's court. Whether he wants to rise to the occasion is entirely up to him, but we're ready to go." As for having his son in the band, Eddie said, "Wolfgang breathes new life into what we're doing. He brings youthfulness to something that's inherently youthful. He's only been playing bass for three months, but it's spooky. He's locked tight and puts an incredible spin on our (stuff). The kid is kicking my ass! He's spanking me now, even though I never spanked him. To have my son follow in my footsteps on his own, without me pushing him into it, is the greatest feeling in the world." There's no word on when the new lineup will be officially unveiled. Van blabbermouth, dus ja. |

Van Halen signs on the dotted line to perform with David Lee Roth (A.P.) Hell, Mich. - Roth Army World Headquarters After several months of rumors about Van Halen reuniting with David Lee Roth, it appears as though the rumors are absolutely true. The Hollywood buzz has already begun, as Van Halen clips have been showing up on everything from MTV to CNN to E!'s Daily 10. It appears as though Roth is already in the fold, as the reunited band is in the process of signing a 40 date ampitheatre deal. It's more than just a deal in the process, as all the dates appear to be set, and getting ready to be announced. The LA Times not only said Roth is back, planning a press conference, and scheduling a tour, but that the dates were set, and it should be announced soon. “From the LA Times: Give credit (or blame?) to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame: David Lee Roth is back with Van Halen and planning to tour. The mercurial Roth, who officially left Van Halen on April Fool's Day in 1985, will reunite with his old band for a tour that kicks off in North Carolina in early May and includes June stops in L.A., Orange and San Diego counties, according to sources in the concert industry.” The only issue? Wolfgang Van Halen will be the bass player. Michael Anthony has been chucked to the curb like an empty bottle of BBQ sauce. It's assumed that Michael Anthony's growing association with the ever growing stomach known as Samuel Roy Hagar. In a sidestory, when asked about Hagar, a prominent musician was quoted as saying, “When did Sammy Hagar's hair begin looking like a matted, wet dog after having been worked over by a bulldog in heat?” Hagar had no comment. We aren't sure if it's because he didn't want to answer, or if his head is now hidden behind his girth. So what's the POJO Take on all of this? A few things. It's January. Roth and Van Halen have to make it to May without fucking up. Dave has to walk on eggshells...and he's so good at that. Ed has to stay in his house, and not say or do anything. WEll...he IS good at that. Then there's the Human Gut, who will be doing everything in his power to undermine everything. Then there is March 12. David Lee Roth, Van Halen, GutMan and Michael Anthony will be sharing the same stage to accept their induction to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. I can see it now. Beck is asked to take present, and as he's presenting the award...Roth runs out and starts shoo-be-doobying. As the rest of the band walks out, Ed stands 20 feet from Roth, smiling at him. LivingStomach can't stop putting his hand around Ed. Roth walks up to Ed and says, "It's not about your fuckin' son..." Ed starts throwing low uppercuts, while sticking out his half-tongue, looking like some warped version of Gene Simmons. In the meantime, Gene Simmons is in the crowd thinking...hmmmm...that kid could play guitar for me. My thoughts though? Do you remember that girl that you wanted to take the skin boat to tuna town with, but never did (I did them all, so I have to pretend). Then, 20 years later, you find yourself in your old neighborhood. You look over, and notice some FAT ASS waste of a hag sitting there, giving you those fuck me eyes. You quickly order a pitcher, give YOURSELF a roofie while praying you remember the act, but not the size, you slam down the pitcher, and work your way over. You find out after 10 minutes that this is the same girl that used to have that tight ass and big tits in high school. Sure, you still get the job done, but it's just not the same. I'm as big a Roth fan as the next guy, but this show is 10 years too late. I hope I'm wrong. I hope when Ed had all his teeth ripped out, and had that new freakin' glow in the dark grill put in place, he also somehow regained the ability to play the guitar like a guitar god, and not like Benny Hill. I hope that Alex expects his wife to have unnatural relations with Dave. You know it's going to happen. It always does. Perhaps that anger will make him play like he did in 1984, and not like he did during the Hagar/neckbrace days. We don't want Christopher Reeves playing drums. I hope that Wolfgang Van Halen realizes that this is every 15 year old rock and roll kid's freakin' dream come true. Seriously. Imagine when you were 15, playing onstage with Roth and Van Halen. I think it's a joke that he is...but man...if the kid is any fan of Rock and Roll, EVEN HE knows that Roth is a legend. Oh yeah, rumor has it his Dad was pretty good as well. I also hope that he doesn't demand Roth out of the band when Roth screws Wolfie's 18 year old, senior in high school, virgin girlfriend. I hope that Roth walks out onstage, in May, in North Carolina...stares out at the crowd...looks over at Edward Van Halen, and says, "Hey Ed, LOOK AT ALL THE FUCKING PEOPLE HERE TONIGHT!" Laughs...then says, "Damn man, it seems just like fucking yesterday..." As Ed peels into DOA... Wolfie or Michael...1984 or 2007...Young or Old...if that doesn't give you the fucking chills... Then get out your copy of fucking Balance and Bette Midler. Hit shuffle on your fucking pink CD player...and enjoy your BUBBLE bath...FAG.
