RED SPAROWES - At The Soundless Dawn 2xLP
Red Sparowes is epic without bombast, heavy without a single bar-chord riff and eviscerating without any clearly audible vocals. The chiming, spindly layers of effect-laden guitars and the swinging, entrancing drums on its debut "At the Soundless Dawn" create textures reminiscent of Goblin, Death in June, Godspeed You Black Emperor and early Sonic Youth. Its attack is syrupy and serpentine, subtle but frighteningly deliberate. Red Sparowes is compromised of members of Isis, Neurosis, Halifax Pier, Angel Hair and The VSS.

The European version of this gem features an entirely different layout, an exclusive bonustrack and comes in a deluxe gatefold sleeve.

COMING SOON:
STARKWEATHER - Croatoan 2xLP
The hibernating monster is back. Exactly a decade after their last outing, the band is now finally finishing up to release their newest endeavour "Croatoan". Helping out on the recordings were Jim Winters of TURMOIL/THE PROMISE and Liam Wilson of THE DILLINGER ESCAPE PLAN. The record is being mastered by Alan Douches at West West Side as we speak. "Croatoan" was recorded early 2004 by Pierre Remillard (CRYTOPSY, GORGUTS, OBLIVEON) and will feature artwork by none other than Paul Romano (MASTODON, EARTH, GODFLESH). Second Nature Records will be handling the CD-duties, Hypertension will be exclusively taking care of the vinyl-duties.
We're aiming at an early summer 2005 release date.
