wel opletten dat hier eigenlijk NIET Nocturnus speelt maar de nieuwe band van Mike Browning: After Death!!!  en dat is dan ook meteen het enige orginele Nocturnus lid. maar ze gaan wel veel Nocturnus (the key) nummers spelen. de After Death cd heb ik ook en is goed te pruimen.... |

Dan zal Costa van Iron Pegasus toch meer aan de juiste promotie moeten doen. Men geeft nu al toe dat het onder de naam After Death niet gaat lukken en lokt mensen die dus puur voor Nocturnus komen, wat het dus egelijk niet is. |

After several requests for a Nocturnus Reunion to happen Mike Browning and his band After Death have decided to give the people what they want! This will be a tour of the classic Nocturnus music off of The Key as performed by the original founding member drummer and vocalist Mike Browning. Mike even asked Mike Davis to perform on the tour but he declined from doing anything with the music industry in general stating he was done with the music business. So the following touring lineup will be: Mike Browning- original drummer/vocalist Demian Heftel- guitars Dave Sawyer- guitars Zach Elders- bass and backing vocals Nocturnal- keyboards |

Wanneer zou de VVK beginnen? Hier trouwens nog van Mike zelf: NOCTURNUS 'Reunion' Clarified - Aug. 4, 2008 Former MORBID ANGEL and NOCTURNUS drummer/vocalist Mike Browning has issued a statement regarding what is being billed as a reunion of the "classic lineup" of NOCTURNUS, set to take place in Europe this fall. In a post to to the comments section of BLABBERMOUTH.NET, Browning writes, "I want to be totally up front and honest with everyone that the original lineup will not be touring. My band AFTER DEATH will be doing the tour as NOCTURNUS, we WILL be playing at least 7 of the 10 songs on 'The Key' [NOCTURNUS' classic 'The Key' album] as well as a couple of old MORBID ANGEL songs done the way they were originally written on 'Abominations of Desolation'! Mike Davis was asked and he didn't want to do the tour as he and I were the ones who wrote pretty much everything on 'The Key'. Lou [Louis Panzer, keyboards] and Sean [McNenney, guitar] were not asked to do this. What people will see will be a show that no one else can faithfully perform containing old NOCTURNUS and MORBID ANGEL material that I either wrote or co-wrote. And it will be done the way it was meant to be written and performed, not some contrived 'rock star' version! The tour will be from October 13-27, 13 shows only to be done in Europe because of these U.S. trademark restrictions from the former members who did indeed steal the name and band I created back in 1988." So far the following NOCTURNUS dates have been announced: Oct. 17 - Rotterdam, NL @ Baroeg Oct. 18 - London, UK @ Electrowerkz Oct. 19 - Birmingham, UK @ The Asylum Formed in Tampa, Florida in 1987 by Mike Browning, NOCTURNUS was known for its science-fiction themed lyrics and use of keyboards, both of which were virtually unknown in extreme metal. Although they never rose above underground cult status, they were reportedly cited as an influence by such modern metal acts as NECROPHAGIST, THEORY IN PRACTICE and CHILDREN OF BODOM.
