Ik ben natuurlijk 100 en half dement en niet gauw onder de indruk meer, maar heel af en toe.

Dit is zo'n moment. Ik word daar best blij van.

Ontzettend matige band. Technisch goed maar zo jammer dat ze geen nummers kunnen schrijven. Het is slechts riffs op riffs en riffs.

Deze kritiek heb ik zelf ook vaak op veel moderne technische metalbands maar dat gaat wat mij betreft niet op voor Vektor.

Vind het feit dat het echt liedjes zijn juist zo gaaf. En dat het hele album aan mekaar hangt. It's all one song.

Die track is echt ronduit verslavend. Ook zoals ze aan het eind ineens terugkeren naar een thema van Charging the Void. Alles zit zo mooi in elkaar bij Terminal Redux.

Totally agree

Ik krijg er een beetje het gevoel bij wat ik ook krijg van bijvoorbeeld Napalm Death.

Er gebeurt mij teveel. Soms zelfs rommelig druk. Ik mis wat meer rustmomenten. Dan is er een rustig stuk en dan blijft die drummer er vol in gaan.

Dat irriteert mij.

ENORM.

19 augustus in de Little Devil te zien.

heb de nieuwe ook gehoord.
Ik vond ze live veel lijken op toxik en dat kwam ook naar voren op de plaat. Mooie coroner momentjes er ook door, de structuren van de nummers doen me wat denken aan mekong delta. Eind jaren 80 destruction er ook nog bij en de obliveon elementen zijn er ook nog steeds en ja heel af en toe ook wat voivod.

Een beetje alle klassieke technische thrash bij elkaar gegooid maar dan toch iets wat duidelijk hun is maken echt mooi om te horen.

Zanger/gitarist David DiSanto is als enige overgebleven. Erik Nelson, Frank Chin en Blake Anderson hebben besloten de band te verlaten. DiSanto zal verder gaan met Vektor.

Het statement van Nelson, Chin en Anderson:

Greetings Vektonauts. With sadness we must inform you that we, Blake, Frank, and Erik, are all departing from Vektor effective immediately. It has been a completely incredible 10-ish years that has brought us all around the world and introduced us to so many super generous, passionate, friendly people and produced three albums of which we are extremely proud. Seeing the reception for Terminal Redux in particular after all of the hard work put into it has been very humbling. Sadly we've reached a point where we can't continue with the working arrangement we have, for a number of reasons that we find unnecessary to discuss publicly. There's no big story or drama, people and personalities simply change and drift apart and we've reached our limit.

The three of us are lifer musicians and will continue to be. You'll be seeing us in other contexts, other bands, recordings, tours, and more. Our time in Vektor has been a major part of our lives and parting with that will be a serious adjustment, but ultimately we're excited to see other new ways we can put our ideas to use. We are -hugely- grateful to everyone that came out to shows, picked up merch, listened to the music, showed us a great time and kept us going. We accomplished more than we ever thought was possible when we joined and we hope you'll stay tuned for what we do next – you have certainly not seen the last of us.

We don't know if this means Dave will seek new members and continue Vektor or not, that is for him to decide and announce in his own time.

Given that it's the holidays and the future of the band is out of our hands, we'd appreciate some space for the time being as we enjoy time with friends and family (please don't message our personal pages about it, we won't reply). All the best and we'll see you down the road.

I apologize to anyone who was concerned about the post from earlier today. Vektor is not stopping. I started writing Vektor songs in 1999 and I'm still writing Vektor songs. As long as I live, Vektor will not die.

I appreciate everything that Blake, Frank, and Erik have done to help this ship take off. I also appreciate all of my band mates before them: Willy, Pablo, Adam, Mike, and Kian.

BREAKING NEWS:

After a four year hiatus following the highly regarded album, "Terminal Redux", the two original guitar players, David DiSanto and Erik Nelson, have decided to reform Vektor.

With new talent from Mike Ohlson on drums and Stephen Coon on bass, Vektor is back as strong as ever!

The band currently in the studio working on new material, and are preparing for multiple tours in 2021

edit: djeez, aan voorgaande berichten te zien was ik er niet zo positief over als ik net dacht. Toch benieuwd...

En een nieuwe nummer. 3 minuut nog wat.
Typisch Vektor waar ik nu toch ook wel oude Metallica in terug hoor.
De hogere Schmier (destruction) gilletjes zijn nu ook achterwege gelaten.

Toch heb ik liever de langere nummers.

Dit nummer komt van een nog te verschijnen split EP in februari.
Mogelijk dat het andere nummer langer is of dat een volwaardige plaat meer langere nummers laat horen.

Slecht is het verder zeker niet. Kort maar krachtig,
