A WATCHTOWER CD entitled Demonstrations in Chaos, containing unreleased rehearsals and recordings from the Control & Resistance era, plus previously-unavailable live tracks, and the infamous Boss Studio demos from 1983 and 1984, will finally be issued through Monster Records in May. In other news, WATCHTOWER guitarist Ron Jarzombek recently posted the following update on the band's current activities: “WATCHTOWER has finished writing all of the music for [the next studio album, entitled] Mathematics, and the CD will also be released 'whenever'. Again, I don't have any control over [bassist] Doug [Keyser] or [drummer] Rick [Colaluca]'s schedules, so I don't know when they'll be done with their tracks. But to get a rough idea of the progress on the Mathematics recordings, we are still in pre-production. Jason McMaster: The new WatchTower (Mathematics) is not ready. Attention... Since we have released the information about WatchTower releasing an ALL NEW CD...MATHEMATICS.. people will not leave it alone. They won't let WatchTower sleep... I receive emails everyday from hardcore WatchTower fans, living and breathing the arrival of MATHEMATICS..... a release long awaited of course. The revival has definitely started with the reformation of the almost original line up, and the reunion at BANG YOUR HEAD/ BALINGEN GERMANY JULY 1 2000. I am sorry to give you no new information on MATHEMATICS. It is only the mention of the word MATHEMATICS that has thrown fans into a frenzy for new material from WatchTower. We apologize sincerely for possible premature mention and "coming soon" tactics for the release of this seemingly "legendary before it's own time" release from WatchTower. It's not happening any faster. The best thing about this mess, is that we know how much WatchTtower might mean to some of you, and this is very pleasing. Please do not give up, but do not expect months to be the clock, it has been years and might take years to complete MATHEMATICS. Accept this as a letter of intent, intentions are as said, to complete and release this CD, but not in due time. keep the faith, defend the faith. Ex-MEGADETH Members, WATCHTOWER Guitarist To Perform At WORLD GUITAR CONGRESS SPASTIC INK/WATCHTOWER guitarist Ron Jarzombek is once again hooking up with fellow guitarist Marty Friedman (ex-MEGADETH, CACOPHONY) following last year's "Guitarevolution" tour. The MARTY FRIEDMAN solo band, also featuring bassist/vocalist Chris Catero (RAZER, ex-WARDOG) and drummer Jimmy DeGrasso (ex-MEGADETH, Y&T), will appear in concert at the "World Guitar Congress" on Tuesday June 8 in Baltimore, Maryland. Also scheduled to perform are Eric Johnson, Andy Summers, Allan Holdsworth, and Les Paul, among others. For more info, click here. In other SPASTIC INK news, drummer Bobby Jarzombek has hit the road with ICED EARTH, taking over for the departed Richard Christy (LEASH LAW, ex-DEATH). The band kicked off the second leg of their U.S. tour in support of their new album, "The Glorious Burden", June 1 at the House of Blues in Las Vegas and will visit 14 more cities between now and June 18 before heading over to Europe. ICED EARTH are scheduled as the headlining act at the Graspop Metal Meeting in Belgium on June 25 and Germany's Bang Your Head Festival on June 26, respectively.
