Ik moet hier toch een beetje op terug komen. Ik ben nog steeds fan. Waarschijnlijk nog wel meer dan toen ik de vorige post maakte. Against the plagues is echt geweldig!

Maar het klinkt niet precies als The Apostate. De sound van dat album is duidelijk het startpunt geweest van deze band maar men heeft meer symphonische black metal elementen in de muziek toegepast.

Against the plagues lijkt een soort mix van The Apostate met meer Morbid angel en Cradle of filth. Lijkt misschien een beetje vreemd maar het klinkt erg gaaf!

Ik ben zelf niet zo van de Cradle/Dimmu invloeden ('k hoor nu eenmaal graag doorlopend Wojtek's grunt) maar ik wil deze cd graag aanschaffen; is er een NL mailorder die deze verkoopt?

Geen idee waar je dat ding kunt verkrijgen. Ik heb hem gewoon besteld bij een CD zaak.

Ik moest in de eerste instantie ook erg wennen aan die black metal invloeden. Bij de eerste paar luister beurten had ik ook liever een Apostate deel 2 gehoord. Maar nu ik hem vaker gehoord heb ben ik er helemaal weg van. Geweldige plaat met een zeer fijn sfeertje. Jammer dat hij uit 2007 komt anders had ie hoog in mijn jaarlijst gestaan.

Eindelijk maar eens besteld, bij de band zelf: 8/9 euro incl verzendkosten=geen geld

Is er nog nieuws mbt de Luciferion re-release?

The Apostate blijft voor mij toch wel hét meesterwerkje van Luciferion. Die "nieuwe" plaat moet ik misschien nog vaker luisteren, maar vond hem eerst niet zo bijzonder. Die Cradle of Filth invloeden kan ik trouwens ook niet echt plaatsen, maar dat zal wel met interpretatie te maken hebben...

Oeps ik bedoelde Demonication natuurlijk

Demonication is te gek! Natuurlijk plagiaat van begin tot eind, maar geweldig uitgevoerd! Dat gesproken stuk uit Exorcist III in Rebel souls is wat slecht verstaanbaar (kan iemand de tekst posten?), maar klinkt heel lekker op de muziek ingepast en de cover Blasphemer is natuurlijk ook subliem.

Ik had trouwens begrepen dat men een geremasterde heruitgave zou uitbrengen waar alle covers ook op zouden staan..

Verder heb ik begrepen dat Wojtek auditie heeft gedaan om Erik Rutan op te volgen in Morbid Angel maar dus is afgewezen? Dat had aardige composities op kunnen leveren..

Yo Alco! Ik heb em via paypal gekocht, maar het is die drummer die de cd's verdeeld: via varyen ET sbcglobal .net valt er vast wel wat te regelen!

Normaal gesproken heb ik een schijthekel aan een keyboard geluid, maar bij deze band past het er toch wel erg lekker bij.
Die nummers op Myspace klinken erg gaaf. Eens kijken of hier meer van te vinden is.

Ha! Ik had jou stukje net iets eerder moeten lezen. Ik heb, in een dol enthousiaste bui, Decoding the mainframe aangeschaft. In de veronderstelling dat het hier ging om een geheel nieuw album. Nee dus. Toch heb ik geen spijt van mijn aankoop. Decoding klinkt namelijk stukken beter, frisser en extremer dan Architecture. Mensen die twijfelde over Architecture moeten Decoding zeker nog een kans gunnen.

Hopelijk krijgt deze geweldige band nu de aandacht die ze verdienen.

Ai, was het maar het 2e album..

Ik ga em ook nog wel eens aanschaffen, al heb ik via een download nog geen verschil gehoord

Maar eens luisteren. Luciferion heerscht echt de pannen van het dak! Jammer dat het zo'n inactieve band is.

Ik heb ze iig een keer live gezien, op zich al redelijk uniek, heb ik het idee.

Deze cover kende ik nog niet.

Chicago based multinational extreme-metal act AGAINST THE PLAGUES begin working on new songs for as yet untitled second album.

Former LOST HORIZON Guitarist Joins JAGGERNAUT - Feb. 15, 2011

Guitarist/producer Wojtek Lisicki (LOST HORIZON, LUCIFERION, AGAINST THE PLAGUES) has joined forces with vocalist Niclas Johnsson (FULL STRIKE, TWILIGHT ILLUSION, FATAL SMILE) in the brand new JAGGERNAUT lineup. The musicians are currently working on material and putting together a new band with a view towards releasing an album later this year.

JAGGERNAUT's previously written tracks have been considerably "rearranged, reorchestrated and protagonized" by Wojtek, who has also composed all the new material while Niclas has come up with all the vocal arrangements and lyrics for the upcoming CD.

According to a press release, "This intriguing fusion of different artistic approaches now results in a material with wide spectrum of styles and richness of strange elements coded in a singular manner within the details, therefore also increasing the range of attraction for different metal tastes. You are going to experience everything from uplifting, catchy parts right in your face, through touching melodies, cosmic and mystical synths/effects from unknown dimensions, through aggressive, thrashy and punky riffs, then suddenly heavy and very groovy rhythms succeeded — out of nowhere — with mathematical structures executed with robotic strokes and beats. Everything amalgamated with Niclas' powerful and convincing voice, full off anger and life's misery, but then also filled with mighty lines of hope and strengthening of your inner self."
