CONFESSOR To Release Live DVD In February - Jan. 22, 2005
Reunited North Carolina-based progressive metallers CONFESSOR will be releasing a live DVD in February. The DVD will consist of performances from the group's early days in 1988 and will take the viewer through the '90s when the band was signed to Earache Records, all the way up to the group's latest show months back in Raleigh, North Carolina. The DVD will also include CONFESSOR's MTV video for the song "Condemned".

CONFESSOR, who are currently being represented by CORROSION OF CONFORMITY's former management company, split up in the early '90s after releasing one full-length album (1991's "Condemned") and EP (1992's "Confessor"), with the with the rhythm section going on to form FLY MACHINE. CONFESSOR reformed in 2002 following the death of guitarist Ivan Colon, who passed away due to cardiac complications.

Death metal/grindcore innovators REPULSION have confirmed a live appearance at the Machine Shop nightclub in Flint, Michigan on December 20. In other news, the band are compiling video footage and pictures of the group from the early days up to their performance at this year's Milwaukee Metalfest for an upcoming DVD release. They are asking anyone who has video or pictures that they would like to contribute to contact Aaron Freeman (Aaron@repulsion.net) or Matt Olivo (Matt@repulsion.net).

REPULSION's classic "Horrified" album was reissued earlier this year in a deluxe 2xCD format by Relapse Records.

Recipients of death is best ubercult, schijnt dat er een verzamel cd is uitgekomen.

Nee, dat vind ik te gerenomeerde eighties bands om 'cult' te noemen eigenlijk.
Over het algemeen geven metalheads de naam 'cult' aan bands of artiesten die nooit of net niet doorgebroken zijn binnen het metalgenre doch door een selecte groep liefhebbers als onmisbaar wordt bestempeld. Net als bij cult-films gewoon een aanduiding dus voor een klassieker zonder dat de 'massa' er mee weg loopt.
