Immortal - New Album Update, Demonaz To Handle Vocals

After last year's drama, Immortal is still alive. More, they've completed the writing process of their brand new album! The band also says: "The massive fan support has been very inspiring and we will not let down the fans. The last year we have completed all the new songs and look forward to record our most passionate album in a long time. The songwriting process has been awesome and we are soon ready to start the recordings. In a time when true and origin Black Metal is nearly dead, the band is in ultimate spirit.

"After the last year's incidents it was time to go back to the roots to what this band is really about musically, and also to take the integrity of the band back to where it belongs. Cold, grim uncompromising Blashyrkh metal with a true feeling is what we deliver. From 2010 until 2014, Immortal wrote all the songs for the successor to All Shall Fall, but when ex-member Abbath left the band in 2014, he changed the lyrics, song titles and recorded these songs for his so called 'solo album'. We had to focus on making a new album nearly from scratch, which is the main reason why things have taken this much time. We are now looking forward to record the new album and present it to all those who have shown their loyalty and support. Immortal has always been a unique and unstoppable force, and that goes for our fans as well. We will never change our music or attitude. The album title and song titles will be revealed soon."

Ben benieuwd.

Ik wil graag een kruising tussen Balletles in the North & Blizzard Beasts. Dat zijn de enige twee echt boeiende albums van deze band. ATHOW & Pure Holocaust zijn ook nog wel luisterbaar maar verder hoeft het voor mij eigenlijk niet.

Demonaz laat weten dat hij er rekening mee zal houden, wolfje.

Immortal had beter gestopt met Pure Holocaust, was hun beste.

Wolfje noemt daar uitgerekend de twee minste.

Laatste keer dat ik ze zag op Graspop stonden daar gewoon lijk grieten in topje op de eerste rij.

Toch vind ik Holocaust beter.

Die tikkets van toen Demonaz die infectie had aan dot arm, zijn nog altijd nie terugbetaald hein

Immortal is ook steeds zo'n tussen twee stoelen Norse band geweest.
Nie betrokken bij de vuurkerken, nie satanistisch, nie episch.

Ik kan er moeilijk posters van maken.

Ik heb trouwens nog die vhs van die twee clips van Battles.
Komt Abbath van die berg gelopen en strompelt hij wijd.

Ik heb Immortal nooit wat aan gevonden. Ik heb 1 7" en die heb ik gekregen, volgens mij. Die diabolical dinges geluisterd toen hij uitkwam, maar ik vond het niks. Van latere releases ook wel wat gehoord, maar zo niet boeiend, imo. Ik vond/vind zoveel andere Noorse bm bands zoveel beter. Ik kan dat toegeven, hehe.

Ik weet niet waarom, maar ik vind SoND zo'n gave plaat. Misschien omdat deze plaat een van de eerste black metal/Immortal platen was die ik ooit hoorde? Geen idee.

Sidenote: beste nummer blijft verruit "Withstand the Fall of Time". Damn.
