Hey whats up everyone, Jason here. We are going in the studio in 4 weeks to record some material for a split with our good friends in Structure of Lies, due out on new upstart label Zilla Industries. They (SOL) are an awesome chaos-metal-core band kinda like Converge meets His Hero is Gone meets Slayer. A couple of the guys were in Unruh, if you remember them...anyway we are doing a split 12" and cd which will include possibly 2 brand new songs (One will be "Demand the Impossible" which we have been playing live recently), plus a cover song, and perhaps a live track.
In other news we are writing songs for the new album over the fall and winter to be recorded in February, which should be out on Nuclear Blast Recs. next spring, so the last live date until next spring might be the Ottobar show in November with Theory of Ruin (ex-Fudge Tunnel/Nailbomb). Also look for a new T-shirt design to be out soon featuring the "Overthrow" artwork. Thanks for the support-in solidarity - JASKA

Official: Mike Harrison and Kevin Talley are no longer in Misery Index.
Greetings all, Jason here with some news. As most of you know, Misery Index would like to announce that the touring lineup featured over the last seven months is now permanent. First, Bruce Greig (Dying Fetus, Together We Fall, Next Step Up) is now the full time second guitarist for the band (in addition to Sparky Voyles), following the exit of Mike Harrison, whose dislike for the touring lifestyle and personal priorities led to his good-terms exit last spring. Look for Mike to continue playing a supporting role for the band in the future, as well as for his own studio solo releases. If you would like to work with Mike on his next CD which promises to be Misery Index meets Strapping Young Lad, contact him.
Secondly, drummer Matt Byers has officially replaced Kevin Talley, who has retired from playing grind and death metal to focus on a more rock-oriented project. Matt is a student of Kevin Talley and Derek Roddy, and just as his amazing drum work was exhibited on our most recent tour, look forward to both him and Bruce to carry on the sprit of Misery Index as we move ahead with recording our new album. The first release with the permanent lineup will be a split 7"/cd with Arizona's Structure of Lies out this winter. Check the show section also for new live dates.
Without further haste, here are the new photos from the Death Across America tour. Special thanks to photographers Wade Gosselin, Florance Homer, Laura Anderberg and Scott Stevens. Also look for some live footage with the new lineup in the next few weeks.
FINALLY!!!
We are pleased to announce that we have inked a long term deal with Nuclear Blast Records!!! We look forward to working with them in the coming years in order to bring the Metal to you!
