Deze staat hier al een paar dagen op repeat. Ondanks een bijzonder rijkelijke discografie blijven de heren verrassen. Niets black metal op deze laatste worp, maar ingetogen semi akoestische post punk die beklijft door de wondermooie melodietjes en de spaarzame, maar zeer stemmige keyboardinterventies. Waar hun eerdere werk in deze stijl eerder bucolisch of mystiek van aard was, is dit album eerder geënt op hedendaagse, urbane thema's. Klein, ingetogen maar wondermooi.  |

Die Neurosis moet ik echt nog even beter gaan checken. Ik had hem eigenlijk een beetje aan me voorbij laten gaan. Lustmord en Dave'ke Lombardo die de handen in elkaar slaan, dat kan toch alleen maar vuurwerk opleveren, niet  ? Zij het van de erg duistere soort dan toch. Een eerste single is reeds beluisterbaar:The man who comforts himself not with what he achieves, but with what he dreams of achieving. |

En ook Godflesh komt nog met nieuw werk (lijkt me wel mogelijk hun zwanezang te zijn; Justin had toch enkele weken geleden laten weten dat hij in het ziekenhuis opgenomen was en nooit meer in staat zou zijn om roepend op een podium te gaan staan).
