Nou die eerste demo draai ik nog regelmatig, hoor. Hij is misschien qua productie niet helemaal professioneel, maar dat ding ligt vaker in m'n cd-speler dan menig ander metalcd'tje. Het eerste en het laatste nummer zijn toch echt wel geweldig! Er is geloof ik ook nog een nummer ("passions"?) dat niet op de demo staat. Ben ik erg nieuwsgierig naar. En ik zit potverdikje ook al veeeeeel te lang te wachten op THV. Wordt het ding nog uitgebracht (desnoods in eigen beheer) of gaat ie aan m'n neus voorbij?

Tja, het rommelt al een tijdje binnen de band é... Spijtig, maar hopelijk kunnen ze het op deze manier oplossen want dit is echt een klasseband hoor! Mooi exportproduct van ons belgenland

Jan 02 | Happy new year! And some bad & good news as well...
A new year, a new beginning: On those notes we start off the new year, wishing everyone including all our fans the best of luck with their plans and projects for 2006.

Unfortunately we have some unpleasant news to bring as well at this point. Due to personal issues that could not be resolved, Aborted, Tace & Free had to part ways. A cummulation of smaller and bigger problems in the past so and so months has made it virtually impossible to keep cooperating together as a collective unit. Tace & Free are not vanishing, they will remain active in their other projects. People will see Free in his other band "Forced Hate" and Tace in a new band.

On a more positive note, we want to state that absolutely nobody out there should worry about shows getting canceled and so on. The February tour with Cryptopsy, Grave, Dew-Scented a.o., will go on as planned! Stepping in are Seb (Genital Grinder/Balrog) on guitar, Olivia (ex-No Return/Balrog) on bass and Matty (Emeth) on guitar as well since Steph could not commit him self to this tour due to his lady sitting at home pregnant, ready to give birth.

We have already rehearsed our setlist with the new line-up several times and things are working out perfectly. The motivation and "drive" is back in the band, something that was missing since a while ago, and it feels great to be jamming out the tunes with fresh blood incorporated. Throughout the years this band has been struggling with the line-up, having more than a couple of line-up changes. However, Aborted has proven that what doesn't kill you only makes you stronger, and this time it should be no exception.

We also started working on the successor to "The Archaic Abattoir", which is set to be recorded later this year. Again we would like to thank all of those who have supported us, and we're glad you are still doing so. We will see many of you on tour in February!

Volgens mij is alleen Sven nog het originele bandlid of niet? Vond de nieuwe bassiste trouwens best ok, maar ze leek nog wel wat onwennig op het podium....

Yep! Deed ze erg goed vond ik. Ze leek ook wat ziekjes aangezien ze tussen elk nummer door haar neus liep te snuiten

Ik vond Aborted gister errug vet trouwens!

Vond het ook zeker goed, maar wat ze op plaat zetten weten ze toch niet helemaal live waar te maken.

Gisteravond heb ik Aborted live aan het werk gezien in Scum te Katwijk. Wat kwam er een energie van de band af. Band speelde loeistrak, wat een ongelooflijke stoomwals kwam er over de zaal heen. Hulde gewoon!

Bands als Impaled en Exhumed zullen wellicht ietwat jaloers zijn:

Belgian death metallers ABORTED have issued the following update:

"Work is proceeding well on the 'The Auricular Chronicles' DVD, which is set to be released by October through Listenable Records. Previews will be online by the end of the summer on both websites and OneOone (www.oneOone.fr), who are doing an amazing job with the footage so far! Artwork for this release will be in the hands of Spina studios, who also did the last LENG TCH'E record. As stated, the DVD will contain a liveshow of an hour shot in Paris with 13 cams, sound remixed by Tue Madsen, both videoclips, backstage shenanigans, other live shows, interviews with all bandmembers and more.

"The new album... We're right in the middle of the writing process, and middle is the right word since we have half of the record written so far and things are going pretty smoothly. The follow-up to 'The Archaic Abattoir' has been baptized 'Slaughter & Apparatus: A Methodical Overture'. This slab of gore will be recorded at the Antfarm once again with Tue Madsen and should see a worldwide release in early 2007 on Century Media Records. Some songtitles so far are: 'The Chondrin Enigma', 'Prolific Murder Contrivance', 'Archetype: Malice And Scorn', 'Avenious', 'The Spaying Seance' and more. So far the material is a mixture of the last two records, adding a notch of brutality and diversity. Artwork will again be handled by Killustrations and should revolve around a concept, later to be revealed.

"Besides all these exciting things, we are most honoured and pleased to announce that the album will feature guest appearances by no less than Jeff Walker (CARCASS), Barney Greenway (NAPALM DEATH) and some other surprises, stay tuned!!"
