Ik weet het niet helemaal. Er gebeurt net dat tikje te weinig. Ik ga eerst eens achter wat ander werk van hen aan.

Dat is wel een verstandige benadering. K3 is hun meest minimalistische album en dat zegt wel wat. K2o is denk ik het beste beginpunt. En die samenwerking met John McBain, Last Chance/Lost Chants, maar dat is wel een behoorlijk lange zit als je het goed doet. Dubbelalbum doordat hij zowel op 33 als 45 rpm te spelen is.

Rerelease tip van 2019 dan maar!

Bam! Hier ga ik wel hard op vandaag! Post-punk, shoegaze/post-rock, randje metal. Verrekte energiek en meeslepend.

Noorse post/sludge band die in maart hun debuut hebben uitgebracht.
Was me tot nu toe ontgaan, maar vooral dit nummer maakt toch wel indruk op me.

Heel erg knappe overgangen. Op zich niets nieuw, maar naar mijn smaak wel erg goed uitgevoerd.

Ja, die komt zeker in mijn jaarlijstje. Volgens mij heb ik 'm hier ook al eens getipt.

Had ik blijkbaar over gelezen. Verdient in elk geval wat meer aandacht.

De Lorians - De Lorians

Prachtige ode aan de jaren '70 prog en specifiek de Canterbury-stroming, mijn favoriete stijl binnen de progrock. Dit Japanse gezelschap heeft een plaat gemaakt die klinkt alsof een obscure progplaat uit 1972 nu pas is uitgebracht, dat bedoel ik heel positief. Dynamische jazzy progrock die in zijn gebruik van melodieën behoorlijk Zappa (Hot Rats) is, maar in algehele sound me doet denken aan Soft Machine, Caravan, Supersister en Focus. Ik word hier heel blij van.

Nou ken ik dat hele Suuns niet, maar Slumberland moet je zeker een keer live gaan zien als je de kans hebt. Twee drummers en één man die al de rest van het geluid maakt achter een enorme installatie inclusief naaimachines!
