Geen idee wat er hier op staat, maar het klinkt als een vijf uur durende instrumentale medley van varianten op Ghost Town van The Specials.  Zo richting strand, uitwaaien en met hoofdtelefoon op Absolute Elsewhere knallen. http://soundsfromthedarkside.com "GEICO does not cover Autobot Matrix of Leaderships." |

Als we het hebben over absolute favoriet? Dan kies ik voor Battles in the North. 1. Battles in the North 2. Pure Holocaust 3. At the Heart of Winter 4. Blizzard Beast 5. Zeer moeilijke rangschikking dit - ik kies dan toch ook voor At The Heart of Winter omdat er daar geen enkel 'minder' moment op staat. Diabolical Fullmoon Mysticism op twee omdat daar toch een aantal bijzonder naargeestige nummers op staan en het zo goed het begin van de second wave-sound vat. Pure Holocaust op drie. Battles in the North op vier, er staat daar ook wat filler op. Blizzard Beasts op vijf, hoekig en atypisch, maar onderschat album. De rest heeft toch ook wel echt sterke nummers, maar begeestert minder als volledig album. Vanaf Abbath weg was, heb ik overgeslagen. Northern Chaos Gods nog geprobeerd, maar deed me niks. |

Eveneens trouwens Ultima Thulee van Blut aus Nord, ik ben inmiddels enorm fan van deze. De sound, de sfeer. Verder Ravishing Grimness van Darkthrone, geweldig. Ik denk dat ik al die weinig benoemde tussenplaten het vetste vind. Prehistoric Metal gaat er ook heerlijk in. Wat gewoon. Heerlijk. IVth Crusade ook weer ns gedraaid. Aan de saaie kant. Ik moet toch gewoon de laatste weer aanknallen. Of Realms of Chaos  |
