Mocht iemand het origineel van hun debuut hebben en hem toch niet zo leuk vind. Hier is iemand die hem wel leuk zal vinden

Septic flesh is naar mijn mening een geweldige band.
Hun nieuwste is zeker een aanrader, ook voor de niet black/death metal fans.

Faust vind ik wel een lekkere plaat.

Blijft een gave band, het grootste deel van de oude cd's maar zeker ook Summerian Deamons!

Heb ze eind jaren negentig nog eens live gezien, in Willemeen (Arnhem), erg gaaf optreden. Helaas erg weinig bezoekers, maar dat terzijde.

Zou het komen tot een reunie?

Their music combined hyper-fast technical death metal, melodic death metal, gothic metal, and industrial metal, a concoction that made them one of the most acclaimed yet still relatively unknown bands of the extreme metal category.

After nearly 14 years as a band, SEPTIC FLESH split up in October 2003. THEDEVILWORX would be formed a year later by some former members. CHAOSTAR was created in 1998, by the band's guitarist, Chris Antoniou, in which he continued to play after SEPTIC FLESH disbanded.

Reunited Greek death metal legends SEPTIC FLESH will record their sixth full-length album for the Season of Mist label. According to a press release, the as-yet-untitled CD "will carry all the elements that made the sound of SEPTIC FLESH so distinctive. There will be pale, strange guitar melodies, brutal and sharp riffing, the devil behind the mic, and of course the neoclassical arrangements that are trademark of Chris Antoniou. For that purpose alone, Chris the 'gothic maestro' will torture a full orchestra and choir respectively made of 80 musicians and 32 singers! The rest of the album will be recorded and mixed on what has become the temple of the past two musical rituals of SEPTIC FLESH. Yes, once again they have chosen to invade the famous Fredman studios, with the company of Fredrik Nordström."

Vader 25 jaar

ja daar hebben we een tijdje geleden al woorden aan vuil gemaakt, t zou zelfs 30 jaar zijn al maar dat betreft een minilp die niemand kent en waar nergens iets over te vinden is, eigenlijk is vader de originator van de death metal, eigelijk is pjotr de man...

Zou leuk zijn als ze nog een keer naar NL spelen.. Heb ze een jaar of 8 geleden (1999?) nog gezien in Arnhem, was een van de weinige (of enige?) optredens in NL van deze band en erg de moeite waard. Helaas was Septic Flesh toen nog niet zo heel bekend en was de pr van Willem 1 ronduit waardeloos, waardoor de zaal niet echt goed gevuld werd, maar het concert was erg gaaf!

The song comes off the group's new album, "Communion", due in Europe on March 17 (March 25 in the U.S.) via Season of Mist.

Commented the band: "This song is a tribute to the well known grandmaster of science fiction/horror, H.P. Lovecraft. It is an imaginary story describing his final hour in this world... The lyrics are basically a strange puzzle created from the titles of his books, that are combined together in order to create the specific meaning. Enjoy the nightmare!"

According to a press release, "Communion" "contains nine gates to unearthly dreams and nightmares. The 'rituals' of 'Communion' took place in the famous Studio Fredman in Sweden. The massive heavy guitar sound of the album is supported by a haunting triumphant orchestration that surpasses every past attempt of the band on that field. The classical arrangements are composed and directed by Chris Antoniou (guitar) and performed by the 80-piece full orchestra and 32-piece choir of philharmonic orchestra of Prague. As a result the music besides being brutal is also very 'visual,' like the soundtrack of an occult movie projected straight to your mind. Concerning the vocals, Seth is growling as a hellish beast in contrast with the melodic, yet intense and emotive vocals of Sotiris V. This album is definitely the more dark, brutal and at the same time avant-garde release of the band to date, crossing the borders of death and black metal. Yes, this album is not recommended to people resonating with holy ideals and bright emotions."
