She Said Destroy have now inked a deal with Nocturnal Art Productions/Candlelight records!
We’re very excited about this deal as we’re fans of several bands that these legendary labels have released over the years.
We’ll be entering studio sometime in the autumn to record our debut album. Expect nothing but total carnage! See the official statement from the label below
Over the last month we have also recruited a new guitarist.
His name is Snorre and he’s a menacing riff machine with a badassed replicant hair cut.
Snorre also handles guitars in the death dealing war mongers Left Among The Living and he has already proven himself to be quite the capable player by doing his first gig with SSD only 13 days after we first hooked up!!
We’ll be busy finishing the material for our debut in the coming months, which means we won’t be doing any gigs this summer, but we’ll be back with full force once the album is finished.

Underground label Nocturnal Art Productions, founded in 1994 by Samoth (Zyklon/ex-Emperor), is now entering into full time collaboration with Candlelight Records on a worldwide basis. The two labels have already been cooperating for several years with Candlelight licensing various Nocturnal Art titles for the North American territory. This new collaboration sees a full on worldwide cooperation with all coming Nocturnal Art titles being marketed through the Candlelight Records network.

Nocturnal Art Productions has been a strong name in the underground scene and during the years, has put forth artists such as Red Harvest, Limbonic Art, Aeternus, Mindgrinder, Emperor, Arcturus, Sirius, Tormentor, Void, etc.

Candlelight label manager Edward Christie had the following comment about the collaboration "We are delighted to be working with Samoth and N.A.P. and look forward to building a successful partnership. It was a natural step for both companies as Candlelight look after the N.A.P. releases in the USA and of course we have been working together for a number of years with Emperor and Zyklon"

With this new collaboration, Nocturnal Art has already signed Norwegian extreme metal thrashers She Said Destroy… a name that has been on many people's tongues recently. They have been an active live unit and have made many impressive live appearances. Vampire Magazine ( Holland ) quoted the band as “One of the highlights at this years Inferno I would say!!!” on their appearance at the Inferno Festival 2005. Their latest demo ”Armageddon Anyone?” has also made strong impressions on fans and media alike. Metal Hammer Germany declared it demo of the month, and Metal Hammer UK gave it 8 out of 10 points and quoted it as "This is heavy fucking metal, not Paris Fashion Week!”. The band is currently in writing mode for their debut album and expects to be recording in the fall.

Heb in Oslo 1 nieuw nummer gehoord en dat knalt behoorlijk. Left Among the Living, waar de nieuwe gitarist vandaan komt, is trouwens ook erg vet. Je broer heeft nu de demo ontvangen van LAtL als het goed is

Hier trouwens mijn review van LAtL om een idee te krijgen:

At this years Inferno festival I received the Left among the living "Demo 2004" cd with the question if I could review their demo here at Vampire. A friend of mine from Oslo already told me a lot of positive things about this band and he repeatedly told me to check that band out. Well, now I have the opportunity to do so.

Left among the living is an aggressive band from Sandvika, just outside Oslo, and they started about three years ago. In december 2003/ january 2004 they recorded their first demo "Demo 2004" and the band is now looking for a label to release their upcoming music. About the music they say themselves: "Our sound is a violent assault on the hearing senses, a twisted mix of aggresion and melody, with brutal screaming and growling vocals. Lyrics dealing with everything from war, flesh eating zombies, the apocalypse and self destructive inner thoughts. With no particular style, we are influenced by everything hard! (music that is)". Indeed I can agree that their sound is an assault on the hearing senses. Their music is extremely brutal with influences from the new-styled deathmetal (like Dying Fetus for example) as well as metalcore influences and new wave of thrash metal influences (like The Haunted), all mixed well together into one aggressive sound with only here and there room for some melody to keep the music interesting all the way. And after hearing this demo a couple of times I have to admit that Anders was completely right about Left among the living. They are indeed worth checking out as they manage to keep their music interesting with a lot of variation in the brutality and at the same time manage to make a perfect combination between the forementioned different musical styles. Thé perfect music to beat somebody up. Very recommendable!!!
