Blabbermouth Lijkt me wat RR-gerelateerd nieuws betreft wel betrouwbaar.

Het maakt toch allemaal geen zak uit, Satyricon blijft toch wel hun eigen koers varen zonder muzikale concessies te doen.

Dat verwacht ik ook niet, nee. Volcano is iig in Amerika door EatUrMusic, het label van Daron Malakian, uitgebracht.
In Noorwegen worden ze door Sony/BMG uitgebracht, geloof ik. Nou, dan kan Roadrunner UK daar ook nog wel bij.

Busy days
for the last 4 months....
We wanted to update you from the studio, but there was no time and now we have finished the album, which is for sure the most important thing to all of us. The new album is scheduled for release Monday the 24th of April all over Europe via SonyBMG in Norway and Roadrunner Records International in the rest of Europe. No American date is set yet, but it should not be too long after.

The album NOW, DIABOLICAL contains the following songs:
Now, Diabolical
K.I.N.G
The Pentagram Burns
A New Enemy
The Rite Of Our Cross
That Darkness Shall Be Eternal
Delirium
To The Mountains

The vinyl version of the album will have a bonus track called Storm(of the destroyer). Live dates are being set every day, mostly in Norway for the time being, but we obviously aim to hit the summer festivals in Europe hard. The first confirmed show is Oslo, Rockefeller 13th of May. but there will be many shows before that. We hope to reveal the album cover and have some music ready for you on this site next week already.

Gewoon weer vinyl gaan kopen

dan eindig ik met het kopen van beide versies, omdat vinyl natuurlijk niet overal te draaien is.

Daarom koop ik zelf ook bijna overal zowel de CD alsook de vinyl versie van....blijft een dure hobby

Two Norwegian shows in May added to the Alive section and updated links and contact information for booking and more on the Artistic Society section. Now, Diabolical front cover and and a short musical taster coming up shortly.

As promised we've got some more stuff for you starting with the front cover and a 1 minute excerpt from the title track as seen on the opening page of the site. There will be some new photos, an album recording feature with some of the bands own pictures and more, in the near future. A couple more Norwegian live dates and some European festival dates are on their way. We should know more about America next week!

Roadrunner Records heeft wederom een band toegevoegd aan haar
arsenaal. Dit keer verwelkomen we de Noorweegse black metal band
Satyricon als deel van de Roadrunner familie wereldwijd.

Hun laatste album 'Volcano' ontving de Noorweegse Grammy voor “Best
Metal Album”, de Alarm Awards voor “Song Of The year” (Fuel For
Hatred) en “Metal Album Of The Year”. Daarnaast ontvingen ze ook nog
eens de Oslo Award voor “best Overall Album”. Volcano debuteerde op
positie 2 in de Norweegse Hitlijsten.

Satyricon zit op dit moment in Vancouver, Canada om hun komende
album te mixen met Mike Frasier (Metallica, AC/DC). Het album is
getiteld 'Now, Diabolical' en gepland voor april 2006. Satyr kijkt
uit naar de release en deelde het volgende mee: "This project has
been a deeper dive in the abyss than ever before and many sacrifices
have been made to try to achieve what we where looking for. We are
very proud of 'Now, Diabolical' and hope the pain of giving birth to
this phoenix will prove its worth!”

Best wel ja. En waarom het iemand zou moeten verbazen snap ik ook niet. Aangezien ze Volcano zelfs bij een vrij groot niet-metal label hebben uitgebracht, ze de drummer van slipknot in de band hebben gehad op tour etc etc. Satyricon blijft toch Satyricon of het nu op Roadrunner of welk ander label is.

Sample klinkt erg lekker, ben zeer benieuwd naar de nieuwe cd.
