KAM LEE Looking To Issue Previously Unreleased MASSACRE Album - Dec. 10, 2006

Former MASSACRE/DEATH frontman Kam Lee has issued the following update:

"MASSACRE fans — do you want unreleased MASSACRE? I'm asking this question to all MASSACRE fans because I'm trying to find a way to release the unreleased 'Second Coming' album! This was an unreleased, unfinished album recorded in 1990... with members being me on vokills, Rick [Rozz] on guitars, Joe Cangelosi (WHIPLASH, KREATOR) on drums and Butch Gonzalas on bass. The material is more in a thrash metal style rather then the traditional death metal style MASSACRE is known for!

"Although this material isn't like the 'From Beyond' album, it is 100 times better than the material that was later released on the horrible suck-ass 'Promise' album!

"I'm trying to find a label willing to release this record. So if any labels out there interested — please contact me [as soon as possible]."

Lee is currently fronting DENIAL FIEND, the new Florida-based band also featuring former DEATH/MASSACRE and current SIX FEET UNDER bassist Terry Butler alongside ex-NASTY SAVAGE drummer Curtis Beeson and former DOWN BY LAW guitarist Sam Williams.

DENIAL FIEND To Break Out MASSACRE Classics On European Tour - Apr. 7, 2007

DENIAL FIEND, the Tampa, Florida-based band featuring Terry Butler (SIX FEET UNDER, ex-MASSACRE, DEATH), Kam Lee (ex-MASSACRE, DEATH), Curt Beeson (NASTY SAVAGE, LOWBROW) and Sam Williams (DOWN BY LAW, PSEUDO HEROES), will embark on a European tour mid-May with VITAL REMAINS and labelmates BLOODY SIGN.

Commented guitarist Sam Williams: "It should be a great introductory tour for us. Anyone into the more classic sound of Tampa metal will be pleased for sure. We're definitely excited for people to hear our material. We're also anticipating the crowd going nuts when we break out some old MASSACRE classics! This is Kam's big return to Europe after all, so we're going to make it special."

Bodytekst: Thanx to Sam Williams of DENIAL FIEND really busting his ass and working out some killer deal... I maybe able to finally get a passport. So what looked like a dead end yesterday may turn around and work out!!!

So it looks like I will be able to go to Germany after all with DENIAL FIEND, and even a little surprise in the form of 'MASSACRE' returning for a tour in October!

I'll keep all you deadite necro-fiends posted as soon as I know more!

MASSACRE bio courtesy of BNR Metal Pages: One of the earliest of the Florida death metal bands of the eighties, MASSACRE's early history is closely intertwined with that of DEATH. MASSACRE was formed around 1984 by Allen West (later of OBITUARY) and Bill Andrews, followed by the arrival of soon-to-be-leader Kam Lee and guitarist Rick Rozz, both of whom had served with Chuck Schuldiner in the earliest stages of DEATH. A lineup of Lee, Rozz, Andrews, and Terry Butler eventually stabilized, but before they could record, all but Lee left the band to record with Schuldiner in DEATH on that band's "Leprosy" album, forcing Lee to disband MASSACRE. Around 1989 Lee decided to start up the band again with Rozz and WHIPLASH drummer Joe Cangelosi. An album was recorded, by the name of "Second Coming", but was never released. Eventually came the return of Butler and Andrews, who had stayed with DEATH long enough to play on "Spiritual Healing", and in 1991 MASSACRE finally released an album, "From Beyond". An EP quickly followed, but it would be several years before another album would appear, in the form of 1996's "Promise". Featuring a different rhythm section, the album was not well received and they folded for good soon afterward.

Rick rozz kan qua omvang de deur zeker niet meer uit.

Zou kunnen, hij staat in ieder geval bekend als een luie en matige gitarist, waardoor hij bij een band vervangen werdt door James Murphy.

Ow? Er staat mij iets bij dat chuck 'em gewoon te vet vond (niet qua geluid btw) en dattie daarom eruit moest.

Zo technisch was death nu ook weer niet in het begin (gelukkig), dat trekt de mindere gitarist ook wel.
