MASSACRE: First European Tour Details Revealed - June 2, 2007

The first details have been revealed about MASSACRE's upcoming "Re-Animated" European tour, which is scheduled to kick off October 26 and last through November 18. The band's lineup for the trek will consist of DENIAL FIEND members Sam Williams (guitar), Curt Beeson (drums; NASTY SAVAGE), along with ex-MASSACRE members Terry Butler (bass), Steve Swanson (guitars) and Kam Lee (vocals). The material covered on the tour will consist only of songs from 1991's "From Beyond" and "Inhuman Condition" EP.

In addition to MASSACRE, the "Re-Animated" tour will feature appearances by DENIAL FIEND, JUNGLE ROT and ASHURA (France). The trek will consist of 24 dates, including stops in the following countries: Germany (6), Sweden (1), Norway/Denmark (1), The Netherlands (2), Belgium (1), Slovenia (1), England (2), Ireland (2), Italy (2), Switzerland (1), France (2) and Austria (2). More information will be made available soon.

Kam Lee previousy stated about the upcoming tour: "This will be a joint tour with DENIAL FIEND and should not be considered a 'reunion' tour but rather an extension of what 'true' MASSACRE is, and should be considered a 'fan appreciation' tour! It's my way of saying thanks to all the MASSACRE fans for the support all these years... for keeping the 'Ancient Cult Death' sound and style alive all this time!"

MASSACRE bio courtesy of BNR Metal Pages: One of the earliest of the Florida death metal bands of the eighties, MASSACRE's early history is closely intertwined with that of DEATH. MASSACRE was formed around 1984 by Allen West (later of OBITUARY) and Bill Andrews, followed by the arrival of soon-to-be-leader Kam Lee and guitarist Rick Rozz, both of whom had served with Chuck Schuldiner in the earliest stages of DEATH. A lineup of Lee, Rozz, Andrews, and Terry Butler eventually stabilized, but before they could record, all but Lee left the band to record with Schuldiner in DEATH on that band's "Leprosy" album, forcing Lee to disband MASSACRE. Around 1989 Lee decided to start up the band again with Rozz and WHIPLASH drummer Joe Cangelosi. An album was recorded, by the name of "Second Coming", but was never released. Eventually came the return of Butler and Andrews, who had stayed with DEATH long enough to play on "Spiritual Healing", and in 1991 MASSACRE finally released an album, "From Beyond". An EP quickly followed, but it would be several years before another album would appear, in the form of 1996's "Promise". Featuring a different rhythm section, the album was not well received and they folded for good soon afterward.

Thatcher-Destined to Conqueror 7// 1985 is degelijke US Metal zoals die midden jaren tachtig in Amerika populair was, denk aan bands als Lizzy Borden, Ripper, W.A.S.P. Commandment, Sinister Angel, Anvil Chorus enz.
De Massacre bootleg uit 1991 is zeer zeker de moeite waard, The From Beyond Tour.

De eerste 3 demo,s van Death (Mantas), Death by Metal 1984, Infernal death 1984 en Reign of Terror 1984 zijn begin jaren negentig als bootleg 7// verschenen, alsook de Hellhammer-Crucifuxion 7//.
Maar voor alle geldt dat mijn geluidskwaliteit op tape nog beter is dan de 7//.
Kopie van Kopie enz. op single geperst.

Hehehe, mijn death tapes zijn ook kopie van kopie van kopie.

Er zijn toch aardige cd's met de demo's uitgekomen..zelf ben ik ook nog rehearsels aan het rippen Met Kam op drums en zang en Chuck op zang waaronder het nummer Seizure en enkele covers.

Klopt er zijn verschijdene versies van demo c.d,s van Death verschenen.
Met wisselende geluidskwaliteit wat ook weer voor Hellhammer geldt.
Wat betreft Massacre valt het wat tegen, de Tyrants of Death c.d. van Costa (Iron Pegasus) demo 1 Aggressive Tyrant en demo 2 From Beyond.
Wat betreft Massacre zijn er ook nog enkele demo,s en rehearsals zoals adv. track 1986, reh. 1986, Demo Infernal Visions 1986, Reh. 28-8-1986, Reh. 5-2-1987, adv. tape unr. e.p. 1987 (David Vincent), Bloomfield 31-3-1987, North Carolina 2-5-1987, unr. tr. 1991, Birmingham 25-9-1991, Bradford 2-6-1992, Reh. 3-9-1986, Bootleg Brandon 20-12-1986.

Demo 2 van Massacre heet Chamber of Ages i.p.v. From Beyond, staat fout in mijn tapetraderslijst.

Ik heb geen lijst, hehe, anders kon ik ook even met tapenamen strooien. Ik heb ook wat live tapes van ze. Heerschend, met kam die de evil doll genaamd chuck vermoord.

Hell yeah! De tour komt dichterbij!

Gaaf! benieuwd hoe die ep klinkt; heb je die zelf dus?; de opname die Vincent wou releasen via zijn Goreque label maar dat geld stopte hij later toch liever in de opname van Abominations of Desolation toch?

I'm asking this question to all MASSACRE fans because I'm trying to find a way to release the unreleased 'Second Coming' album!
This was an un-released - un-finished album recorded in 1990...
with members being me on vokills, Rick on guitars, Joe Cangelosi (WHIPLASH/KREATOR) on drums & Butch Gonzalas on bass.
The material is more in a Thrash Metal style rather then the traditional Death Metal style MASSACRE is known for!
Although this material isn't like the 'FROM BEYOND' album, it is 100 times better then the material that was later released on the horrible suck-ass 'Promise' album!
I'm trying to find a label willing to release this record.
So if any labels out there interested - please contact me a.s.a.p.

Vincent heeft nog nooit wat uitgebracht, Abominations is alleen opgenomen, normaal geproken zou hij dan de opnamekosten betalen.
De Massacre unr. e.p. bevat de 4 nummers Chamber of Ages/Clangor of War/From Beyond/Symbolic Immortality.
Inderdaad dezelfde als demo 2, ik betwijfel of ze de nummers speciaal ervoor opnieuw hebben opgenomen.
Ik denk het niet, dat kostte Vincent nog meer.

Yep Vincent zou een Massacre dan wel een Morbid Angel ep uitbrengen en beide gingen idd niet door; overigens gaat wat Kam Lee nu aanbiedt om thrash en niet om de deathmetal 'waar Massacre bekend om is' dus volgens mij is het toch ander werk...hopelijk iig; ik heb Displeased er iig nog ff persoonlijk op geattendeerd dus mss brengen ze iets gaafs uit!

Die Europe and beyond Bootleg is trouwens idd uitstekend!
