De info die jij post wist denk ik lang niet iedereen (inclusief mezelf)!

Voor zover ik het begrijp brengt Karmageddon gewoon de demo's van het overgebleven Control Denied werk uit maar wordt de CD ook nog gewoon fantsoenlijk uitgewerkt door de muziekanten en uitbracht op een ander label (Nuclear Blast?!)

Ik heb overgens ook al eens wat met Chuck's moeder gemaild, maar krijg soms ook wel de indruk dat zei nog geld probeert te verdienen uit het rijk dat haar zoon had opgebouwd. Beetje twijfelachtig dus.

Kolere, death was goed, heeft wat nieuwe dingen gedaan, maar het is nu sluss, finito, einde.... Dat gereformeerde tribute gelul is nix anders dan geldschrapen voor een paar lui. Na afroming door de managers blijft er mischien nog iets over voor het uiteindelijke doel.. Ik koop die cd niet, en schijt op elk exemplaar die ik tegenkom.. Wat met gezond verstand hopelijk weinig zijn...

ik moet inderdaad zeggen dat ik ook niet erg reikhalzend naar die tribute cd uitkijk, al was het maar omdat ik tribute cd's niet erg interessant vind.

voor dat 'nieuwe' materiaal geldt wat anders natuurlijk.

Dan nog vind ik het allemaal nogal overdreven. Doktersrekeningen betalen? daarom? Sorry als zijn bekendheid word gebruikt om daarvoor geld bij elkaar te sprokkelen dan laat mij dit PERSOONLIJK!!!(die shit wil ik niet nog een keer) een rare smaak in de mond achter..

In de VS worden dergelijke behandelingen amper of niet vergoed. Dat kost dus gewoon heel erg veel geld!

Verder heb ik hem nooit onmoet ofzo, maar het leek mij een heel erg nuchter en vriendelijk persoon.

Hmm zo'n geval speelt zich ook met Trey Azagthoth van Morbid Angel. Veel mensen vinden hem een arrogante kwal omdat hij zijn eigen ideeen heeft en weinig van anderen trekt. Prachtig! Alles wat in de bladen staat, is natuurlijk waar, hè? Niets wordt er uit z'n context gerukt, woorden worden niet verdraaid, etc.

Anyway, persoonlijk ben ik wel benieuwd naar wat deze tribute gaat brengen. Deze wordt immers in elkaar gebeund door (voornamelijk) mensen die toch op de één of andere manier iets met Death te maken hebben gehad. Veel minder dan de die eerste Death-tribute kan toch haast niet.

Tribute update from James:

On Saturday, March 6th I was able to confirm a new guest for the Within The Mind tribute to Chuck Schuldiner: Nick Barker (Dimmu Borgir, Cradle Of Filth) will perform drums on at least one song for the tribute. Sorry that I can't give any more details at this time since we did not decide on a track just yet.

Anyone wishing to see a bit of the session that was completed a couple weeks ago with Richard Christy should go to the Within The Mind site: www.deathtribute.com and navigate to the sounds page. There we have posted two brief Quicktime movies from the session. Though the quality is poor you can still get a sneak peak into what's happening with the tribute. In the first clip you will see and hear some of Richard's drums going to tape live from the perspective of the mixing console, complete with a scratch guitar track being played by myself. In the second, the point of view moves to the live room where you will see Richard and laying down tracks with me once again supplying a guide track, though you will only hear drums as the guitar is only heard in our headphones and at the mixing console. You will need Quicktime player, available for free download on the net.

Some of you know,many do not but "Evil" Chuck from the legendary "DEATH" was rehearsing and considering joining the allmighty SLAUGHTER back in the mid to late eighties.A drunken phone call put myself and Chuck in contact.I asked him what his plans for the future had in store.He told me he wanted to create the heaviest band on Earth so we decided to join forces.The Evil one flew up to Canada from Florida a few days later. We began rehearsing immediately.You can imagine what happened.The heaviest 2 weeks you could not believe.Right now I am listening to an old rehearsal tape (January 23 1986)of Slaughter and Chuck playing Disintegrater and Incinerator as well as Evil Dead and Legion of Doom!!!FUUUUCCCCKKKKK!!! Studio time approached for the recording of STRAPPADO.I feel that Chuck wasn't ready to retire his band DEATH nor were we completely comfortable being a 4 piece.It was decided mutually that we part ways.Chuck flew home and we entered the studio.In my opinion the metalheads of the world needed both SLAUGHTER and DEATH for their metal fixes. In the two weeks that we knew each other I feel a friendship was made.Rumours were tossed around and comments were made from camp to camp but I still feel a mutual respect and cannot forget the laughs,beers and all around good times we shared.You definitely will be missed EVIL ONE.This ones for you!CHEERS!!!!!

No, this is not the new Control Denied-album, no this is not a new Death-recording. These recordings are a very cool Control Denied-rehearsal. Nearly 30 minutes new and rough Control Denied-material, recorded on 16 tracks with Chuck on guitar (and an overdub on a second guitar, plus solo-guitar) and Richard Christy (these days member of Iced Earth) on drums. We think the recordings sound great and we did our ultimate best in mastering them. Track 5, 6 and 7 are the “Infernal Death” demo from 1985 and track 8, 9 and 10 are the “Mutilation” demo from 1986. So all in all an hour of Chuck Schuldiner at the sad end of his great career and in the very early years when everybody could already hear something very special was coming. What will happen with the “real” Control Denied album? Maybe ask the Schuldiner-family about that, we simply do not know and they refuse to tell us sad enough. Anyway, enjoy, if you are a Chuck Schuldiner, Death or Control Denied-fan you will like this…

Wie heeft de 4 nieuwe tracks van Chuck al gehoord? Wat vind je ervan? Ik vind het enorm inspirerend allemaal alleen moet 't gewoon afgemaakt worden! Eigenlijk alleen de zang, extra solo's en geluidstechnisch afwerken; voor de rest klinkt 't super!

SEPULTURA guitarist Andreas Kisser will perform with the Brazilian band DEATH TRIBUTE at the "Bonded by Blood Thrash Fest" on September 18 at Via Funchal in São Paulo, Brazil. Klopt; ik heb zelfs al een witte re-release gezien met een extra cd met een bootleg uit de Spiritual healing periode maar ik weet niet welke kwaliteit het is; iemand anders wel?
