Rebel Extravaganza heerst, monster van een plaat. Wat mij betreft hun tweede beste plaat na The Shadowthrone. Maar goed, Absu dus. Die nieuwe pakt me nog niet echt. Zoals hier al eerder aangehaald zit het technisch enorm sterk ineen, klinkt het retestrak, maar ik mis iets... zelfs in vergelijking met de voorganger "Absu" die toch niet heel erg verschillend is. Absu doet een voorjaarstour met Impiety, 9 April Trix Antwerpen, 13 April Helvete Oberhausen. Absu-Abzu is snel en raast in een kleine 40 min. voorbij. Helaas wint de snelheid het bij Absu tegenwoordig van de melodie. Daar waar Shaftiel & Equitant wel aandacht aanbestede, en The Sun of Tiphareth nog altijd mijn favoriete Absu plaat blijft. |

Godverdomme... waarom is er geen Nederlandse show geboekt voor die tour? Dan maar naar fukkin' Duitsland in April. Tenzij iemand in Nederland zo handig is om die zondag te boeken. Het Leven Gaat Door, Tenzij Het Ophoudt... |

Ik blijf Equitant en Shaftiel missen. Persoonlijk vind ik dit de minst sterke Absu line up. Zeker nu ze nog maar 1 gitarist hebben. Dat is goed te horen als mem naar de laatste Absu c.d. luisterd. |
