 Review by Ripper Bendix Not to be confused with Nuclear Assault or even Massive Attack (die!), Massive Assault is not yet one of those institutionalized bands that get yelled at you right before the drunk dude in the denim vest pukes all over you, but if all of their material is as strong as this one, they're on the right path of becoming one. I can see it before me already: "Man! You're just not metal if you don't know Sacred Reich, Jag Panzer, Nuclear Assult, Pungent Stench and Massive Assault, man! BLEAAAAAAARGH" Good times ahead I say! But I digress… Massive Assault play THAT kind of metal, ya know? Not the high-polished squeaky clean kind of shit, but the stuff that sounds like it comes from a rotting corpse's bloated belly. The production has a nice Entombed-esque sound to it and you can almost hear the strings carve fucken grooves into the wood of the bassguitar's poor fretboard. A funny, organic sound that's hard to describe. It roars and rumbles like hell and kicks ass. As I said… THAT kind of metal. Old-school crusty death metal to be precise, and fucken hell do they kick fucken damn ass with it. Think of a three-headed anal baby spawned by Vomitory and Napalm Death and you pretty much have Massive Assault, and fucken scabs on your eardrums shortly afterwards.
