Ze hebben met de platen:Obituary, Inked in Blood & Darkest Day toch nog goede platen gemaakt. De sound is veranderd, maar nog altijd een vet gitaarriff spel van Trevor Peres zoals hun voornaamste inspiratie: Celtic Frost. Het zijn veelal hakkende riffs geworden met bombastische drums van Donald Tardy. De grunt van John Tardy is weg zoals deze op Slowly we Rot en Cause of Death was. En dat vind ik persoonlijk nog het enige minpunt dat dat unieke diepe putgrunt sound van John niet meer gehaald wordt. Live is het een band die absoluut geniet van hun eigen muziek zoals ze die nu maken en iedere avond 100% inzet laat zien. |
