Hi...I wanted to tell you some news regarding Sterling Von Scarborough


For 6 years he was my roommate and sometimes lover. On November 9th, 2006, at about 7pm when I came home form work, I found him dead in my closet. He had committed suicide during the day by hanging himself with the expensive wool scarf I bought him 5 years ago. I told the management of Morbid Angel, and they said they would forward the news to Trey and the rest of the band. Sterling was cremated on November 16th, and his ashes were cast off the sea cliffs at the Marin Headlands above the Bonita Lighthouse by the Golden Gate where he and I used to spend many hours alone together. I'm going up there again to do my on ritual and to give my final goodbyes to him this Saturday. He leaves behind his mom, stepdad, younger bother (Greg), and sister (Sonia), along with a number of nieces and nephews who adored their uncle Sterling, the musician. There's a void in my heart that no one else could begin to fill. I loved him more than anymore before, and I'll never love anyone as much as I did him ever again.

Zou best kunnen. Kan ook gewoon zijn dat het doosje zichzelf belangrijk vindt door de lover van een beroemde muzikant te zijn en dat het toch maar even haaaar kado was waarmee ie zich ophing.
Maar er lopen genoeg gekken rond die dit soort dingen verzinnen, ja

Ja hij speelde alleen bas op de opname van Abominations of Desolation uit 1986, in 1987 begint David Vincent, na het mislukken van zijn label waar hij de Massacre 12// en Abominations zou op gaan uitbrengen.

MORBID ANGEL Confirmed For Italy's GODS OF METAL Festival - Jan. 15, 2008

Legendary Florida death metallers MORBID ANGEL have been confirmed for the Gods of Metal festival, set to take place June 27-29, 2008 in Bologna, Italy. The festival billing is now shaping up as follows:

IRON MAIDEN (headliner June 27)
JUDAS PRIEST (headliner June 29)

YNGWIE MALMSTEEN
MORBID ANGEL

More bands will be announced soon.

MORBID ANGEL is currently in the studio working on material for its first studio album since 2003's "Heretic". The upcoming CD will mark the group's first release to feature frontman David Vincent since 1995's "Domination".

MORBID ANGEL is presently unsigned, having parted ways with Earache Records following "Heretic"'s release.

Although MORBID ANGEL's upcoming album does not currently have a name, its title will likely begin with the letter "I", in keeping with the band's tradition of titling their albums in alphabetical order beginning with 1989's "Altars of Madness", and continuing through "Heretic".

MORBID ANGEL's current lineup includes Vincent, guitarist Trey Azagthoth and drummer Pete Sandoval.
