Yep maar dan mis je de Youthanasia cover en deze uitgave heeft een saai frontje. Go to hell (Bil & Ted Bogus journey soundtrack) is trouwens het eerste nummer dat is ontsproten uit de samenwerking met toen de nieuwelingen Friedman & Menza; erg goed spul!

Overigens is er niet echt een goede live video/dvd van Megadeth uit toch? Alleen die Rude awakening maar daar is de line up minder klinkend.

Een der besten speed/thrash bands die er is. Favorieten zijn Peace Sells en R.I.P. Alles t/m Youthanasia gaat er nog bij mij in. Het feit ook dat Chris Poland weer terug is in de band ben ik zeker tevreden mee.

Ik heb ooit ns een keer een verhaal gehoord over Chris dat ie bij een ongeluk z'n hand verwond had. Geluk bij een ongeluk:hij schijnt nu solo's uit te kunnen voeren die geen enkele andere gitarist kan aangezien hij meer kan met z'n pink dan iemand anders.

They have submitted 17 dates for the US and Canada, and I told them I would be willing to do 20 concerts a year

"At some point there will be talks of who will play in this line-up and as that happens I will post little blurbs.
I have asked for MEGADETH to go into 1000-3000 seat venues for personal reasons,
and have not decided if MEGADETH should have a support band yet.

"We are also considering concert dates outside of the US and Canada and that would include approximately
25 dates for the UK and Europe, 20 dates for the Pacific Rim, and 10 dates for South America.

MEGADETH have set "The System Has Failed" as the title of their new album, tentatively due on September 14 through Sanctuary Records.

"The System Has Failed" was recorded at Phase Four studios in Tempe, Arizona and is set to feature cover artwork by Ed Repka. Joining mainman Dave Mustaine on the recording are drummer Vinnie Colaiuta and bassist Jimmy Sloas. Additional lead guitar tracks were laid down by former MEGADETH guitarist Chris Poland.

The upcoming CD will be preceded by reissues by all seven of MEGADETH's studio albums recorded during the group's tenure with Capitol Records. Regarding the upcoming reissues, Mustaine told Billboard magazine, "You know, it wasn't really hard when I first opened up the very first drive to roll up my sleeves and think, 'This is gonna be great.' But as the project rolled on and the difficulties started to accumulate, I began to get a little nervous. When I got to stuff like [the 'Rust in Peace' track] 'Take No Prisoners', and it was 2 o'clock in the morning and we find out that the vocal track is gone, I was pretty freaked out."

"The System Has Failed" will be MEGADETH's first since the announcement that Mustaine was disbanding the group following a serious accident in early 2002. At the time, it was unknown if severe nerve damage in his left arm would leave him able to perform again.

"I think that it has come full circle back to the aggressive, political cynical lyrics and aggressive guitar riffing that I am famous — or infamous — for," a now-healed Mustaine told Billboard. "I feel something very similar to when I first started out when I hear this new record."
