Mwoah...Sammath is gaaf bandje..DEATH/black......komen d'r ook nog andere gave bands, want voor 1 bandje is t wel erg ver vanaf rotterdam....

But this is the first time Stalaggh, has been wreaking havoc upon a digitalformat. This limited to 1000 copies DIGIPACK edition, comes with actual drawings of the mental patients, that performed during the recording of this ritualistic soundtrack dedicated to your doom. He ended his life later this year, and close to him they gathered a handful of drawings, one that now is included in this digipack, a highly disturbing picture. This record proves that fake emotions is not something that is for STALAGGH, suicide walk hand in hand with the bands short but demented history. "One of the timeless bands in dark music (not necessarily black metal) must be Abruptum, and Stalaggh are a type of band whose music is played on the same lines- tortured improvisatory random sounds that reek of madness and suicidal despair.I thought it was just a gimmick when I saw the advert. ‘The soundtrack to humanities’ global suicide’ the press blurb proudly declared. But the record really does deliver the goods.Therefore, this album is just surrealist, some may argue pointless, noise in the vein of the classic ‘In Umbra…’, to put it simply, a demented piece of anti-art. There are no musical values as such but I really appreciate this kind of music, even though it may get boring after a while.The dual or triple (?) vocals (sometimes electronically processed) sound like a wounded animal, yelping and howling for the pain to stop but to no avail. A constant tapping or scratching on the drum kit gives a very disorienting effect, especially the vaguely rhythmic crashes on various types of cymbals to create ominous funeral marching, which sometimes gets a bit too much to stand. Apart from the vocals, one of the main elements in Stalaggh is the continuous electronic feedback, sometimes descending to a constant low throbbing giving a bass-heavy effect, and sometimes rising to envelope all the other instruments in swathes of sweeping noise. Guitars are never used in a conventional way, just loud jarring chords and annoying fret scratching. Of course that is probably the point! As I already said, the problem may sometimes be that the listener may lose interest because of the seeming lack in variation taking place.Music like this (well, probably all music) always sounds better on vinyl because of the thicker sound. Of course this is not black metal, it’s not even metal, if you want a term, black nihilistic vomit fits especially well. And in case you hadn’t noticed, yeah, the album title suits the music particularly fine. 9/10"

brb: ik heb net geconstateerd dat je stalaggh niet 1-2-3 kan waarderen.
Toch vrij aardige plaat geworden voor den donkere momenten

Juist! Stalaggh moet je vaak luisteren zodat je langzaam afglijdt in de waanzin.
